Hawaii Surf Session Report episode #124 Post Date: January 24, 2007 Locations: North Shore, Oahu - Waimea Rivermouth Big swell came through last night and seems to have already peaked by 8 a.m., but still the conditions were nice. Also I have some new action for you. The waimea river has swollen to the point of bust and with a little help from a few surfers and bodyboarders, the thin sand wall dividing the river mouth and the ocean would fall and the would be more fun to be found on a stationary wave created on the inbetween. Hawaii Surf Session Report episode #118 Post Date: December 30, 2006 Locations: North Shore - Waimea Bay and the West Side - 3rd Dip Two destinations for this the possibly last surf session podcast for 2006. I got up early with lady and headed up to the north shore to take a look at the much anticipated 25 foot waves day. Well the conditions were big but barely visible in the bay. The rain and wind made it tough for getting good shots. So I drove an hour to the west side where the road almost ends to go to a nice break called 3rd dip. The waves were coming in from the North west swell and there were more folks out in the break than I have ever seen before at this spot. The waves were crackin and the wind was a whipin but the rain couldn't stop those surfers from rippin at the dip. Waves 25 to 6 ft. North Shore Waimea surf going off as Kimo and Yoko do an episode of the famous Aloha Show on Valentines Day 2008. This is the end of Makahiki the traditional time of whales coming to Hawaii and a time of peace and extreme sporting events. The Hawaiian way is to respect the ocean, volcanic reef, shark, honu, sun, wind, a single wave, seaspray and the buddy with jet ski. Surfing is Hawaiian and I call for it to be a Winter Olympic sport. It is time for Polynesian culture, athlete to share the enlightenment of surfing and aloha with the world and share peace of spirit.
