3. september komu til okkar á NMÍ iðnaðarmenn sem voru að vinna í að gera göt á gólfið í íþróttamiðstöðinni fyrir handboltamörk, körfuboltakörfur, badmintonnet og fleira. Þeir vildu nota fræsivélina í Fab Labinu til að búa til skapalón fyrir götin, þar sem að hún er mun nákvæmari en þeir gátu annars gert með höndunum. On sunday night during the Þjóðhátíð Festival in the Westman Islands (vestmannaeyjar)13 - 14.000 people come together and sing the festival song from 2001: Lífið er Yndislegt (Life is Wonderful) and watch leftover fireworks from the night before. This year, 2008, was the 134´th festival, so they light 134 flares to celebrate. This is just after Brekkusöngur with Árni Jónsen.
