Wild T & The Spirit

Tony "Wild T" Springer has hung with the best of them. David Bowie, Jeff Healey, Bon Jovi, Deep Purple, Jay Leno, David Letterman and Arsenio Hall are just some of the musical acts and personalities that have been blown away by Wild T's guitar. Wild T is originally from Tunapuna, Trinidad. Though one may find similarities to Jimi Hendrix, ironically it was T's first exposure to Steve Howe and classic Yes that inspired him to take up guitar. Moving to Toronto, Canada, T quickly gained a reputation on the local club circuit. Since then he has recorded two albums (Love Crazy 1991 and Givin' Blood 1995) with his own group, Wild T and the Spirit for Warner Brothers. He has also recorded an album (Black Tie, White Noise) with David Bowie and has appeared with Bowie on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman and the Arsenio Hall Show. He has toured with Bon Jovi and Deep Purple throughout North America and has performed thousands of club shows. In '99 he was asked to portray Jimi Hendrix in Daydream Believers - The Monkees Story because of his resemblance and showmanship.

Isaac Blackman - Love Is A wonderful Feeling

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! Born and bred in the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Isaac grew up in Trini's first family of music and is a "Trini to de bone." Needless to say, he "Loves his country bad." Given this musical heritage, Isaac, "Benjiee I" or "Mr. Benjiee," as he is known by his industry peers, started early in the music business. The youngest of 23 musical prodigies, Isaac was raised in the jungle of Piparo, Trinidad. He was always fascinated with drums, and ever since he was six years old and could reach the kick drum pedal, Isaac has been throwing down the most original, yet loosely syncopated beats. Shortly after learning to play drums, he spent the rest of his youthful days touring with his father's family band "The Love Circle." Growing up in a music-rich environment, Isaac was soon drawn to producing music of his own. In his youth, he also attended many of his father's recording sessions and learned different techniques from various producers. Isaac further expanded his music studies to include other instruments such as percussion, guitar and bass. Shortly before his father passed away, he recorded his first solo track "Glorify," backed by The Love Circle. Since then, he has performed as drummer, guitarist and background vocalist for numerous other artists. The majority of this project was recorded at Isaac's own Jamoo Recording Studio in Tunapuna, Trinidad, W.I. and the rest was done alongside Sherwin Gardner at "God's House of Flows". As a studio musician, engineer, producer and songwriter, Isaac used the tremendous experience gained from working in the past with artists such as Ras Shorty I, Sheldon Blackman and the Love Circle, Mark Mohr, Sean Daniel, Ceon Dindial, Koen Duncan and Johnny Bachew to help make this album what it is. Since becoming the front-man for the Love Circle in Spring of 2004, Isaac has been on a relentless schedule of recording and performing his own unque brand of jamoo. This album is the fruit of his sleepless nights and a lifetime of songwriting. His first hit single on the radio was the catchy "Always Remember," released in late 2003, replete with a delicious hook that will have you singing for weeks. Other tracks like the ethereal "Dream" (written for his brother living in Asia) and the driving "Beautiful Jesus," will move your soul while "I Love Home" will have you waving a red, black and white flag in no time. There are also some great collaborations with Marge Blackman Mohomed, Russel Leonce and dancehall artist Koen Duncan (formerly of the Broadway Boyz International). You heard his signature voice on Christafari's "Lion of Zion" and "My Sustenance" (Gravity), The Love Circle's "Homegrown" effort and on the "Raggamuffin Hip Hop 2" and "Gathering" Compilations. "In Your Eyes," the debut solo album from vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Isaac Blackman, is a lyrically and musically potent introduction to an already familiar voice. myspace.com/issacblackman

Towards the track of the Queen's Park Savannah and to the North Stand and its stage, Steelbands are in fierce competition to get into the panorama finals. The mood in the Savannah is thick and less festive as factions of supporters hail insults at each other. The video begins with Renegades and ends with All Stars as the steelband passes Desperadoes parked to their right towards the long pull to the stage. http://thebookmann.blogspot.com/2008/01/factions-of-panorama.html
