RiffTrax w Mike Nelson - Spider-Man
http://www.rifftrax.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=87 When Peter Parker is bitten by one of Columbia University's many genetically engineered "super spiders" (now we know what they do with their 6 billion dollar endowment) instead of doing the sensible thing and dying, he transmogrifies into an arachnid, extruding fluids from his spinnerets, leaping about, swinging and twirling just like a spider. But being a spider naturally puts him on the bad side of Norman Osborn, the charismatic head of OsCorp Industries who manages to find enough time in his day to moonlight as an evil goblin (played by real life evil goblin Willem Dafoe.) He also finds it difficult to manage his relationship with the beautiful Mary Jane, because, well, he's a freakish wer-spider. His exoskeleton alone makes it literally impossible for him to come out of his shell until it's time to molt -- and at that point he's too vulnerable for a relationship. It all makes for the most thrilling arthropod-on-human love and adventure tale ever told in the year 2002! Joining Mike are Kevin Murphy, Bill Corbett and several harvestmen that live in the corners of the studio. (Yes, we know that harvestmen are not spiders. And, no, theirs is not the most poisonous venom in the world -- that's just a myth.) |

The Spider
This appears to be a type of spider called a "sheetweb spider".. maybe Drapetisca. I caught it by my garage (scooping it up with a flower petal which you can see in the video) and kept it for a few days for filming in a plastic tray and fed it fruit flies and gave it a few droplets of water (which you can see it drinking.) I'm going to return it to the outdoors soon. Check out its gleaming eyes! (all 8 of them) In the second to last scene, you can watch as it shoots out silk from its spinnerets. Music is from Spiderman, the Movie... Hope you enjoy it (and you don't have arachnophobia.) |

Big problem for ID
In the insect world there are many examples of intelligent design Such as Web spinners which have 150 spinnerets that spin a water tight home for it anywhere that keeps it from being detected as long as it does not move to much http://www.ento.csiro.au/education/insects/embioptera.html Trap-door spider uses http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trapdoor_spider even ants are really well designed creatures they are said that "Ant societies with their complex division of labour, communication between individuals, ability to solve complex problems and the apparent contrasts with human societies have been a long-standing subject of curiosity and are a rich area of scientific research." Termite mounds are proportionally as big as 4 times the empire state building would be "The sculptured mounds sometimes have elaborate and distinctive forms, such as those of the compass termite (Amitermes meridionalis & A. laurensis) which build tall wedge-shaped mounds with the long axis oriented approximately north-south. This orientation has been experimentally shown to help in thermoregulation." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ant Gall makers http://entomology.montana.edu/YardGarden/docs/gallmakers-insect.htm in short they are genetic engineers "wow they could it millions of years before us" but before I give the Iders more ammo (that's right you'll have to do your own homework here) I will start the unintelligent design I will only bring up one insect here that proves my point The mayfly ok imagine this you live to be 10 then someone would pour an acidic substance down your throat killing your digestive systems so you can only rely on the fat you got from the food you ate the day before (hope it was a big meal) and that is all you can break down food anymore your whole digestive track is gone Ok this is the life of the mayfly they spend the whole of their life as in it's larvae stages then when it finally becomes an adult it loses its ability to eat it's mouth parts are now vestigial and no digestive track so it's adult life span is 30 minutes to a day this short life-span to pass on its genetic material (wasting precious energy to lure females to them) But my argument is simple what kind of intelligent designer would create something that can only survive for at most a day and to every 1 thing of intelligent design I can point out 10 that are unintelligently design |

Bulk and Skull 23
The forces that be are extremely prejudiced against B&S by willing them to drown. Maybe this episode was written by a Texan mother. Ep2.19 is the one where Kim's purse becomes a monster & Tommy works to save it despite the fact that this purse is apparently some witch's heirloom which will entrap him in Kim's commitment spinnerets & end his carefree life as a bachelor having his life's blood sucked out of him by Suzie Q. The monster's name this episode is "Emasculator". Judging from the bizarre props we've seen so far in Season 2, Bulk and Skull have been raiding the "rejected bin" from Gizmonic Institute. Either Bulk and Skull are afraid of fursuiters or that bear is extremely low-crotched. It's very comforting that the little Bratz are telling Bulk and Skull that their suffering is merely psychosomatic. They'll make good adversaries for Patch Adams some day. Tommy, in case you've forgotten, is more than a little forgetful (he's even worse than I am), and despite the fact that Bulk and Skull aren't trick-or-treating and that he and his friends are dressed up too, he still criticizes them. In addition, who in their right mind would ever trust high school students as chaperons? I guess the writers must keep forgetting what with all the actors being in their mid-twenties (who the heck would hire teenagers as actors though?). Wondering where Jason, Zack, and Trini are? Austin St. John is off being Kyle McLachlan's stunt double, Walter Jones went to be uncredited as "Locker Zombie" in "House of the Dead 2" (so says IMDB), and Thuy Trang was in "The Crow: City of Angels". Suffice to say, I haven't seen these people in anything other than MMPR (which I don't intend to mean as a negative reflection on them at all) so instead I will use them as an example of how name-dropping on the internet is easy and formulaic. It's tradition, even! Goodbye, you three, you will be missed! Thank you for teaching us to martial arts about love, again. Bulk hypothesizes that the PRs can shrink themselves. What makes him think they have human identities? After all, what we've seen of the PRs, they DON'T have human identities, what with the angellic grace they're touched with that makes everything turn out oh-so-happy in the end. Why is it so light out when kids are extorting candy from strangers, and where is all the terrorist vandalism from the night before? Oh, wait, this is Angel Grove, land of the perfect little angels, and Bulk and Skull play Lucifer in the garden of Eden. Then they get attacked by Mrs. Jefferson. "We're scared of the broad daylight!" Tommy's hair makes him look like either Scott Cohen or Michael Easton kickboxing on someone's front lawn there. Or maybe just Tarzan. Ep 2.21 is the one where Tommy goes into the Harmonixer graveyard (Shadow Hearts, anyone?). The "Baby-chasing" sequence is one of the more bizarre, as you can see. First this guy loses his kid in his stroller then just hands him off to strangers so he can cheer on dorky ninjas in a smoke-filled room. Can anybody tell what the hell B&S's deal is with "the baby"? Check out that kid's weird facial expression though. Kids are pure evil. Hope that wasn't breast milk! Though given Bulk's record, it probably wouldn't be the first time. |

I Am A Spider
The complexities of the spider Spiders are predatory invertebrate animals that have two body segments, eight legs, no chewing mouth parts and no wings. They are classified in the order Araneae, one of several orders within the larger class of arachnids, a group that also contains scorpions, whip scorpions, mites, ticks, and opiliones (harvestmen). The study of spiders is called arachnology. All spiders produce silk, a thin, strong protein strand extruded by the spider from spinnerets most commonly found on the end of the abdomen. Many species use it to trap insects in webs, although there are also many species that hunt freely. Silk can be used to aid in climbing, form smooth walls for burrows, build egg sacs, wrap prey, and temporarily hold sperm, among other applications. All spiders except those in the families Uloboridae and Holarchaeidae, and in the suborder Mesothelae (together about 350 species) can inject venom to protect themselves or to kill prey. Only about 200 species, however, have bites that can pose health problems to humans.[1] Many larger species' bites may be quite painful, but will not produce lasting health concerns. Spiders are found all over the world, from the tropics to the Arctic, living underwater in silken domes they supply with air, and on the tops of mountains. In 1973, Skylab 3 took two spiders into space to test their web-spinning capabilities in zero gravity. Nimbus Arthropod Kingdom presents Lace Web Spider
Lace Web Spider (Amaurobius similis) & other Arthropods that inhabit The Nimbus Arthropod Kingdom. The Lace Web or Lace Weaver is distinctive, with a glossy brown carapace and legs, and a velvety abdomen with a dark anterior wedge-shaped marking surrounded by cream. The male is slimmer than the female but otherwise similar. These spiders produce a blueish coloured silk around the entrance to holes and crevices on just about every wall you look at. If you go out after dark with a torch you can often see the spiders out in the open. The female A. similis combs out silk with her fourth leg. There is a good reason for this. Spiders use their spinnerets to spin silk which they use for all sorts of functions. Amaurobius produces a special kind of silk from its cribellum, which is a pair of sieve-like plates just in front of the spinerets. The silk is very characteristic, with a blueish colour when fresh. The silk is produced from the cribellum in a large numbers of fine strands, which are teased out by a double (in the case of Amaurobius) row of curved bristles on the metatarsus of the fourth (hind) leg. This structure is called a calamistrum. Bite report: 'Bit person on hand, causing painful swelling." 'Local pins and needles including on tongue, local swelling for 12 hours.' info: Natural History Museum, UkSafari.com The Crickets & the Darkling Beetle all hatched in The Kingdom. Spore Creature - Dread Spider
What else can I do with the Spore Creature Creator? Manifest my worst nightmares, of course! Seriously. I freakin' hate spiders. Updated video of my dread spider. I removed the poison-spewing spines from its abdomen in favor of something more resembling realistic "spinnerets" or whatever, gave it scarier mandibles, and continued tweaking the legs to make them move a little more realistically. My creatures are shared on Sporepedia under the name limpingpigeon. |

BW: Blackarachnia (Be Still My Spinnerets)
When the Predacons manage to get hold of one of the Maximal protoforms, Tarantulas gets to choose the beast mode and reprogram it into a Predacon. The result is Blackarachnia. Note that Tarantulas and Blackarachnia share a toy mold, but their animation models are very different; more so than Cheetor and Tigatron, particularly with the whole male/female thing. Also note that both of them have 9 eyes in beast mode, rather than 8. For some reason. Tarantulas' programming plays a part in future episodes involving Blackarachnia's shell program and Maximal origin. (From: Double Jeopardy) |

Once, while canoing a river, we went under a low bridge, in quick running water. Under the bridge was infested with spider's. For about 2 minutes, it was a funny horror show!
