Animal X - Skookum Cast Promo

In this compelling Animal X special we present the latest scientific evidence that Bigfoot is more than just a myth. In a special Animal X-pedition we accompany the Bigfoot Field Research Organisation (BFRO) to the Gifford Pinchot National Park in the Pacific North West of the USA and witness a startling discovery - a body imprint of a Bigfoot. Found in a remote area of the Cascade Mountains known as Skookum Meadows, the BFRO team cast the imprint using more than 200 pounds of plaster. Named the "Skookum Cast," this monumental piece of Bigfoot evidence is shipped to a laboratory in Seattle for forensic analysis. Animal X also travels to the Oregon Caves National Preserve to meet one of the most recent Bigfoot eyewitnesses and hear his compelling story. Dr. Matthew Johnson, a clinical psychologist, was walking along a wilderness trail with his family last July when he came face to face with a creature he swears was Bigfoot. Standing almost 7 feet tall, Dr Johnson recounts that this huge primate was bigger than him, more buff than an NBL player and could have crushed he and his family with ease had it chosen to. Part three of this Bigfoot Special takes us to Seattle where the "Skookum Cast" is tested by some of the worlds leading experts including Dr Jeff Meldrum from Idaho University. All agree this is one of the most significant pieces of Bigfoot physical evidence ever discovered... could we be a step closer to proving the existence of a North America giant ape?

SKOOKUM - El Stinko

SKOOKUM played the Pic Pub before it shut its doors and footage of our set was shot. The film footage is from a locally produced indie flick called "Revenge Inc" which sadly has had a microcosmic release (meaning...hasn't really seen the light of day despite original intentions due to funding). An early mix of El Stinko, off the Big Phat Sounds album is featured in the soundtrack. The guy on the drums is Norm the Storm who played with the band briefly before being replaced by our Big Daddy, "Python".....that's evolution baby! So with little fanfare, very little plot line and a whole lotta "the Stink"....check out our new/old video....EL STINKO! This is our first single from our debut album, "Big Phat Sounds". You can purchase it at CDBaby via CD or Download: http://cdbaby.com/cd/skookum Check us out at http://www.skookumrock.com OR http://www.myspace.com/skookumrock

South Skookum in Pend OReille By Marc Martyn

South Skookum is located in the Colville National Forest. There is a forest service campground at the lake with a campground host. Drinking water is available from a well operated by a hand pump. A beautiful hiking trail goes around the lake. There is a small boat launch and two fishing docks. South Skookum has both Rainbow and Brook Trout that range between 10"-14" in size. The campsites are laid out so that you get a feel of seclusion. Being that it is a small lake, it is great for kayaking or canoeing.

Skookum - "They Can't Take That Away From Me"

Nottingham-based 'Skookum' features Laura Robinson, a singer with glamour and sparkle in her voice. Her nuances, vocal colour and intuitive musicality turn beautiful songs into exquisite songs. Her voice provides the perfect compliment to the arrangements by piano player Phil Street. Add to the mix the sensitive, experienced playing of guitarist Rob Austin and you have the recipe for some of the most tasteful and stylish music around.
Along with modern re-workings of jazz favourites, Skookum's set also includes pop and soul songs dressed up in cool, jazzy clothes. Interpretations that freshen up familiar sounds.

North Skookum in Pend OReille By Marc Martyn

North Skookum Lake is surrounded entirely by National Forest. It has a privately leased campground on the west shore. Small boat rentals are available. There are plumbed bathroom facilities in the campground which include showers. The public launch is mainly for high profile vehicles and will only accommodate small boats. The lake has both Rainbows and Brook Trout. Since it is a small lake, it is ideal for canoeing and kayaking.
