VT-9 Birdstrike with Pilot Summary (T-45 Goshawk)
The aircraft is a T-45 Goshawk trainer. Once again this is a fine example of if life gives you lemons; you make lemonade. I think this shows that the military often studies its mishaps and often makes them public so that everyone can benefit by learning from the mistakes, thusly prevent additional mishaps. Often tragedies are learning experiences. Like they say, the road to success is often paved with failures. Demonstrates superb airmanship. It's not just that "in the air piloting" ("stick and rudder") skills that are necessary to be a good pilot; in order to be a good pilot (and crew) one should be honest open and able to give honest evaluations and self-criticism. I think they did an excellent job getting the aircraft back on the ground safely, however they knit picked and analyzed the mishap so next time hopefully it can be handled even better. Note and warning to pilots. Turning back to an airfield the after a loss of power is extremely dangerous. It is often referred as going for the "sucker field". Quite often the best option is to make a controlled crash without doing any extreme banking in the flattest remote field that you can. Unlike civilian aircraft this aircraft had ejection seats, that could have allowed the pilots to bail out if they didn't have enough energy to return to the runway. Also the engine still was producing a fair amount of power, and they had a fair amount of speed and altitude; which allowed them to return to the field. The Martin Baker Mk 14 ejection seats gave them a high probability of survival in case an ejection was needed if they stalled or came up short. |

SSBB Music Mix - Donkey Kong Country - Aquatic Ambiance
PLEASE READ: Add "&fmt=18" (without quotations) at the end of the link of this video to improve the quality drastically. Composition Supervisor: David Wise Arrangement Supervisor: Christopher "Nova" Foss This is my personal Super Smash Bros. Brawl mix of David Wise's Aquatic Ambiance, found in the Super Nintendo game Donkey Kong Country. I dropped the key by one, and added a few other elements, such as the extra percussion, to stir it up a little. My only self criticism is that I think it's a little too repetitive. I think this is my best track I've composed so far though. This is one of my last compositions using GarageBand. I now use Logic Studio for my work, an upgrade of GarageBand if you want to call it that. |

I Know You Are, But What Am I?
Video art which explores the rite of passage of a girl through self-criticism and reflection. The imagery is based on a poem I have written, and bases itself purely on reflections as a metaphorical medium, very similar to Kieslowski's work. The rest of the imagery is open to interpretation. Set to music by Mogwai. All rights reserved to the band Mogwai. This video is not made for commercial release or sale. |

Crazy Little Thing Called Love (fingerstyle guitar)
TAB AVAILABLE READ ON...right, this is probably the most difficult song I try to play. Yep, inspired by Naudo, but 6 months+ ago when I started working it out I was missing a few key points to Naudo-style, so I made it really hard for myself by plucking more than flicking. So, probably don't try this one at home. I think I threw away about 50 takes over the past month trying to record a decent version, and this one has about 3 punch ins anyway. Yes, I struggle to play it. Sounds _okay_, but could be a lot better. Maybe one day I'll relearn it, Naudo-style for improved sound. Anyway, enough self-criticism, get it in ya! Tab is only a rough skeleton, if you can play this tune you'll work it out ;) http://jaw.iinet.net.au/stuff/tab.html Enjoy, JAW |

Coolio - Gangsta's Paradise
"Gangsta's Paradise" is a rap song by Coolio from the movie Dangerous Minds (1995) (starring Michelle Pfeiffer). The song was later released on the album Gangsta's Paradise and Dangerous Minds (Soundtrack) in 1995. Coolio was awarded with a Grammy for the song/album. The song was voted as the best single of the year in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll. The song begins with a line from Psalm 23 from the Bible: As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, but then diverges with: I take a look at my life / And realize there's nothing left. Adding to some of the religious overtones are choral vocals in the background. Much of the lyrics are very dark and tragic; and are meant to be a criticism of the violence and tragedy of the "gangsta" life. The choral lines (sung by L.V.) Tell me why are we so blind to see / That the ones we hurt are you and me offer an especially plaintive self-criticism. The song is arguably one of the biggest R&B/Hip Hop songs of all time, reaching #1 in more than 13 countries around the world, including the UK, where it was the first rap song to ever reach #1 |

Movie Improv (First Installment)
THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE HELP! Some of the movies people said I hadn't seen yet, but I will, (Mean Girls, Basic Instinct, etc...) A lot of the movies I had seen, but I had vague memories of (Godfather) but I think the vagueness helps. SELF-CRITICISM: 1. I seem really stoned, especially in the Ghostbusters one. A little too much. and tired. 2. I need to be more random. 3. Get in character more. I did a good job on the Terminator one like that. I'll try to get another one done tonight. channel recommendation: garypetersjr http://www.youtube.com/user/garypetersjr (Gary is a video...making...genius. He is consistently good. Chopin's Étude Op. 25 No. 1
Here is Chopin's famous "Aeolian Harp" Étude in a half-decent run, I guess. It once more was for my rush to apply to music schools, so I had not gone over it with my teacher in months. Self-criticism for other pianists: - note harsh at top of a R.H. melody + good climax - missed a note after climax - L.H. overpowers during second var. on tema + good rubato - missed note in R.H. - not enough contrast between the central repeated melodies - note in L.H. overpowered R.H. during return to tema - ending sucks I apologize for the tilted camera. I did not bother to preview it before recording, I am far too busy to rerecord it just for the sake of YouTube, and I know of no video-editing software that can rotate the picture in movies. So there. Nyah-nyah. |

Debussy's Pour le Piano: III - Toccata
Toccata - (n.) "A virtuoso composition, usually for the organ or another keyboard instrument, in free style with brilliant passagework." Originally meant to be for audition-prescreening for music schools, until I discovered that they all only want this performed live. Regarding the transition effects, I was just fooling around a bit with Windows Movie Maker, hehe. My self-criticism, for other pianists: - later ½ of 1st page is a bit rushed + 3rd page well-defined (in hidden melody) - glance @ top of 3rd page - rushed pre-transition to central melody - missing last notes in R.H. during transition + good transition to central melody + good central melody + good transition to developed melody + good developed melody - cadenza-like section after central melody is a bit rushed - first chord in cadenza to emphasize is too loud / glance @ fourth-to-last pg., but good rhythm - glance @ recurring tema - transition to finale a bit rushed + melody @ 2nd-to-last page pronounced + inner melody in ending chords very defined - now that I watch it myself, ending is idiotic and unnecessarily Lang Lang-style This wasn't my best performance (indeed, none of my videos are), especially considering I recorded this after 10pm—rushing to meet application deadlines is not good! But the Toccata has won me first-place as well as standing ovations in the past. In fact, I dare to state that once you've heard this and L'Isle Joyeuse, you've heard the best of Debussy's fast-paced later works. An incredibly difficult but just-as-brilliant masterpiece, this. |

Movie Improv (Alien)
I was planning on more short scenes, but I just decided to do the whole damn movie. and I like 'Aliens' better but I thought 'Alien' would be good to do. self-criticism: 1. I cuss too much. I actually never cuss in my class. but, I like it. 2. More exploring and randomness needed. non-sequitur is fun. channel recommendation: johnnyboyxo http://www.youtube.com/user/johnnyboyxo (I think johnnyboy is hilarious. and weird.) |

Cambodia: WHO FIRST SECRETLY CREATED ANGKAR LEUR? (2of6)[KH]
"THE farming people of the base areas who knew nothing of socialist revolution quickly began to love and support Angkar because of its sentiments of openness and friendship." the Cambodian party called itself Angkar, "organization," in the established tradition of the Indochinese communist party and the South Vietnamese communists, who used term "organization" in order to woo the peasants to their political ideas without revealing they were communists. Angkar was credited with nearly mystic omnipotence; its word was law and any attempt to break it was always discovered. Sarin wrote down an often-heard saying that would become familiar after the Khmer Rouge victory: "Angkar has as many eyes as a pineapple and cannot make mistakes." It was this demand for total control that frightened Sarin. He said any problem or mistake was always blamed on the individual, never the organization or its policies. Communist-style criticism/self-criticism session to discuss problems never found fault with the rules of Angkar, only with the poor peasants who could not follow them. They had told him: "the people are cold and need the warmth of the Prince [Sihanouk] to save their lives." Sarin had recorded a party slogan to that effect: "study from the people in order to be like the people... [But] don't let the people lead you by the nose either." All this notwithstanding, it should be kept in mind that historically the warring Vietnamese have showed no mercy on the Khmers. The moral of the story is that there certainly must have been daily exchanges of atrocities and counteratrocities between the two opposing armies and the two neighbor peoples. Mrs Yiey Tien, one of survivors of Khmer Vietminh, who had escaped from Vietminh's worst brutality on this planet to have lived in Battambang province, provided us as extremely clear evidences as crystal about Hanoi who were in the Angkar Leur's mask, was born in Kampuchea Krom, capital of Prey Nokor. So she has written four books, one called "Who was the Mysterious Angka Leur?" Second ones, "Our Khmer Brothers and Sisters ought to be careful..." the Third ones, "Criminal Stratagems of Hanoi that all Khmer should know." The last ones called "Hanoi formed a Faked Khmer People's National Liberation Front" to let all classes of Cambodians being aware of Hanoi's well planed. 1. Who was the Angkar Leu? 2. Why did Angkar order their mysterious groups to kill many Khmer innocence "gentles"? Especially was to kill both the educated men and the respectful Buddhist monks? 3. Where did Angkar Leu hide Cambodia's properties, which they had robbed from Khmer Victims from 1975 to 1979? Answer to these three questions as above. We are so pleased to describe these following events: To identify the Angkar's faces; to identify the Murderers' faces; to identify the bandits' faces. We the Khmer must use our brains for identifying/considering the cause and effect. More precisely, "Who is our hereditary enemy of Khmer Nation? Do not just believe anything from the enemy with your eyes and ears at all. Because our arch enemy has had plenty of poisonous and criminal stratagems... Our enemy had a secretly pre-planned; when to do (something), who have better weapons than us the Khmers. They also have better modern equipments than us the Khmers. They have better communication lines than us the Khmers. They have had more than 40 years' experiences of war. Today Cambodia is no more than a shambles. The Kampuchean people have been dismembered and crushed by the unbearable weight of an endless war a few foreign powers are keeping alive...until the last Kampuchean is dead. Look, the Hanoi has been taking a good opportunity to learn Khmer language since 1979, who are being naturalized as Khmer citizenship; and those who have also used the Khmer names instead of their Vietnamese names. Our enemies have made up the New Khmer Nation, to convert continuously the Khmer nation into their "Vietnamization". Even some international agencies try to discover and write to describe about the strange events of Cambodia, but who wrote only the enemies' two-faced activities, which they-foes have written in some of their papers to divert the international / the world attention, to seal off their war crimes against humanity in Cambodia. |

Death Race Natalie Martinez Cigar Photoshoot
http://www.watcha3.com - Here's world famous photographer 'Yaro' photographing one of the hottest models in Miami Death Race's Natalie Martinez during a photoshoot for Padilla Cigars filmed by fifth and ocean productions for A3 Network South Beach Miami.. Heberto Padilla, father of Padilla cigars owner, Ernesto Padilla, was a important figure in the Cuban Revolution of the later half of the 20th century. Heberto Padilla was an outspoken poet that, alongside his wife, Belkis Cuza Male, originally supported Fidel Castro's overthrow of the Batista dictatorship that existed in Cuba. Poetry was something that was incredibly prevalent in Pinar del Rio, where Heberto Padilla grew up, as there were often poetry face-offs. Heberto and his wife began to notice that Castro was using their writings for propaganda, and their opinion of him and the revolution began to change. Naturally, Castro wasn't going to allow for a well-known poet in Cuba be outspoken about his government. In 1968, Heberto Padilla was awarded the Julian del Casal prize for his book, Fuego del Juego (Out of the Game). This was a tremendous honor, but it came with a price as there were incendiary comments directed at Castro's regime. In 1971, he was put under house arrest, and then taken prisoner along with his wife. In prison they were tortured and Heberto was forced to sign a "self criticism" of his book, which he turned around on them. This event was called The Padilla Affair. In his son's words, "It was a message from a guy who almost had a gun to his head...When you come unarmed, what threat are you?" After Padilla had his son, Ernesto, Senator Ted Kennedy quicky came to the Padilla's rescue and helped them immigrate to the United States where Heberto taught at Princeton University for many years. Ernesto Padilla started Padilla cigars in 2003 and a short amount of time, he has produced many quality brands from a myriad of countries. In their first year, they produced roughly fifty thousand cigars, which isn't anything compared to the million cigars they are currently producing. Ernesto Padilla met with up and coming master blender Don Pepin Garcia to create a Nicaraguan blend that suited his taste for fuller blends. Padilla also used Oliva to make the Padilla Habano in Nicaragua up until October of 2007 when he changed manufacturers, as well as using Tabacalera Aguilar for his 1968 line. Padilla has a factory in Miami for his - surprise surprise - Miami 9/11 line. It's pretty shocking to see a new company have so many lines in different countries, but it is definitely working for Padilla. He decided to base his cigar company after his father, and every line has a reference to Heberto. His father was born in 1932, he published his first book of poetry in 1948, and he published Fuego del Juego in 1968. Ernesto Padilla's motto behind his company is that he wants to be known for making traditional cigars. The ring gauges for his cigars aren't monstrous because he doesn't want the larger gauge to affect the taste that he has painstakingly worked to achieve. These cigars have all been received well by the cigar community, as the Padilla Miami, 1968, and 1932 received a 92, 90, and 90 rating respectively. The Padilla Serie 1968 cigar was ranked number fourteen in Cigar Aficionado's Best Cigars of the Year in 2006. It should be noted that master blender Don Pepin has now ceased working with the Padilla family in order to concentrate more on his own blends in the wake of his popularity. |
