Bounty Killer Soul Rebellion 2007 Negril
ReTV footage of the Bounty Killer show during the 2007 Soul Rebellion concert series. Soul Rebellion is a unique, two part music and cultural event. Produced by Kraft-E, the Jungle Nightclub, and the Negril Education and Environment Trust, Soul Rebellion is a concept more than a spring break concert. Soul Rebellion creates a positive impact in the local community by assisting the local school system with such efforts as a new bathroom and new library facilities at St. Paul's Primary school in Little London, a Tuck shop at the Ferris School in Savanna La Mar, scholarships for students in Grange Hill, computer systems, and new sets of classroom textbooks. Soul Rebellion is the only annual and sustainable music and cultural event during Spring Break in Negril. |

sarah Bob Dylan Lyrics - letras
I laid-LAY coloque// on a dune I looked at the sky When the children were babies and played on the beach You came up behind me, I saw you go by You were always so close and still within reach. Sara, Sara Whatever made you want to change your mind Sara, Sara So easy to look at, so hard to define. I can still see them playing with their pails in the sand They run to the water their buckets/CUBOS to fill I can still see the shells// conchas// falling out of their hands As they follow each other back up the hill. Sara, Sara Sweet virgin angel, sweet love of my life Sara, Sara Radiant jewel, mystical wife. Sara, ángel de virgen de Sara Sweet, amor dulce de mi vida Sara, joya de Sara Radiant, esposa mística. Sleeping in the woods by a fire in the night Drinking white rum in a Portugal bar Them playing leapfrog and hearing about Snow White You in the marketplace in Savanna-la-Mar. Sara, Sara It's all so clear, I could never forget Sara, Sara Loving you is the one thing I'll never regret. I can still hear the sounds of those Methodist bells I'd taken the cure and had just gotten through Staying up for day in the Chelsea Hotel Writing "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" for you. Sara, Sara Wherever we travel we're never apart Sara, Sara Beautiful lady, so dear to my heart. How did I meet you ? I don't know A messenger sent me in a tropical storm You were there in the winter, moonlight on the snow And on Lily Pond Lane when the weather was warm. Sara, Sara Scorpio Sphinx in a calico dress Sara, Sara You must forgive me my unworthiness.indignidad. Now the beach is deserted except for some kelp/alga marina And a piece of an old ship that lies on the shore ORILLA You always responded when I needed your help You gimme a map and a key to your door. |

Sara - Bob Dylan Cover
I ain't posted a Dylan song for a while so thought i'd cover "Sara" off the album "Desire". I laid on a dune, I looked at the sky, When the children were babies and played on the beach. You came up behind me, I saw you go by, You were always so close and still within reach. Sara, Sara, Whatever made you want to change your mind? Sara, Sara, So easy to look at, so hard to define. I can still see them playin' with their pails in the sand, They run to the water their buckets to fill. I can still see the shells fallin' out of their hands As they follow each other back up the hill. Sara, Sara, Sweet virgin angel, sweet love of my life, Sara, Sara, Radiant jewel, mystical wife. Sleepin' in the woods by a fire in the night, Drinkin' white rum in a Portugal bar, Them playin' leapfrog and hearin' about Snow White, You in the marketplace in Savanna-la-Mar. Sara, Sara, It's all so clear, I could never forget, Sara, Sara, Lovin' you is the one thing I'll never regret. I can still hear the sounds of those Methodist bells, I'd taken the cure and had just gotten through, Stayin' up for days in the Chelsea Hotel, Writin' "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" for you. Sara, Sara, Wherever we travel we're never apart. Sara, oh Sara, Beautiful lady, so dear to my heart. How did I meet you? I don't know. A messenger sent me in a tropical storm. You were there in the winter, moonlight on the snow And on Lily Pond Lane when the weather was warm. Sara, oh Sara, Scorpio Sphinx in a calico dress, Sara, Sara, You must forgive me my unworthiness. Now the beach is deserted except for some kelp And a piece of an old ship that lies on the shore. You always responded when I needed your help, You gimme a map and a key to your door. Sara, oh Sara, Glamorous nymph with an arrow and bow, Sara, oh Sara, Don't ever leave me, don't ever go. hope you like it. |

Bob Dylan - Sara
Bob Dylan - Sara Copyright - 1976 Columbia Records Desire closes with "Sara", arguably Dylan's most public display of his own personal life. An ambitious tribute to his wife, Sara, it is possibly Dylan's only song in which he steps out of his public persona and directly addresses a real person, with striking biographical accuracy. Tim Riley wrote that it was "a fevered cry of loss posing as sincere devotion." Dylan's marriage was in a turbulent state when he wrote the song. Dylan's estrangement from his wife had led to at least one separation in the previous year. Sara was present at the song's recording session, (on the same day he recorded two other songs that touched on the subject of marriage: "Isis" and "Abandoned Love"). However, In March of 1977, Sara Dylan filed for divorce. In the Lyrics, Dylan also states that he wrote Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands (from Blonde on Blonde) for Sara. Lyrics: I laid on a dune, I looked at the sky, When the children were babies and played on the beach. RONNIE DAVIS - Ride Your Donkey - reggae dub 12" disco 45
On the Jamaica Sound label and Valdene productions, this is the b-side of Johnny Clarke's "Can I change your mind?". Ronnie Davis was one of the Itals and covered this classic tune with the rocksteady group The Tennors in the sixties. Here he reprises it with a fab voiceover by Jah Stitch and produced by Bunny Lee & L. Sevitt. Dating from 1979 it is a lively tune that makes you wanna dance! Bridging the rock steady era of the late 1960s with the reggae of the 1970s, Ronnie Davis is one of Jamaica's top vocalists. Recording more than one hundred tunes, produced by Bunny Lee, in the early-1970s, Davis recorded his first chart-topping tune, "Won't You Come Home", for producer Lloyd Campbell in 1975. A single featuring the same riddim with vocals re-cut by Keith Porter and vocal harmonies by Davis, was credited to Keith and Ronnie went initially released. With the addition of a third vocalist, Lloyd Ricketts, the duo was renamed the Itals. Re-releasing the track as "Inna Dis A Time", the group scored with one of the year's best-selling tunes. Although their attempts to build a loyal audience proved an uphill climb, Davis and the Itals attracted international attention after the album was reviewed favorably by New York Times music critic, Robert Palmer. Touring with Roots Radics in 1983, the group was named "one of the top one hundred artists," by Pollstar, two years later. Their album, Rasta Philosophy, garnered a Grammy nomination in 1987. Leaving the Itals to pursue a solo career, in 1995, Davis formed a vocal group, Ronnie Davis and Idrien, featuring harmony singers Roy Smith, Robert Doctor and Lloyd Ricketts. Performing their debut concerts in the United States in 1997, the group released its first album, Come Straight shortly after their return to Jamaica. Born in the Jamaican coastal village of Savanna La Mar, Davis became a member of the popular rock steady vocal group, the Tennors, in 1967. With one of the group's two vocalists, George "Clive" Murphy, serving as mentor, he soon took over lead vocal duties for the band. Over the next four years, he appeared on more than fifty tunes released by Treasure Isle, Gay Feet, Prince Buster, Dynamic and the band's own, Tennors label. With the Tennors' disbanding, as rock steady evolved into reggae, Davis took his first steps as a soloist. ~ Craig Harris, All Music Guide |
