Dear Prudence-The Beatles

yes. I broke 1000 views. here is some information about this song you might like to know. "Dear Prudence" is a song written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon/McCartney. It was initially performed by The Beatles and is the second track on the 1968 double-disc album The Beatles (also known as "The White Album"). It was recorded in one take at Abbey Road on 28 August 1968. The song is about actress Mia Farrow's sister, Prudence, who was present when the Beatles visited Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India. Prudence, focused on meditation, stayed in her room for the majority of their stay. Lennon, who was worried that she was depressed, wrote this song for her, inviting her to "come out to play". While the Beatles left the course, Mia, Prudence, Mike Love of the Beach Boys, and others, stayed and became Transcendental Meditation (or TM) teachers. Prudence now teaches elementary school along with her husband, and they both still practice TM, and advanced versions of it, and may still teach TM. This song, along with the preceding track "Back in the U.S.S.R.", features Paul McCartney on drums rather than Ringo Starr, who had recently walked out. Starr returned after the recording of this song to find flowers waiting for him on his drumkit. Lennon considered this song to be one of his favorite Beatles songs, and his son Julian Lennon has named it his favorite. In 1987, Lennon's original handwritten copy of the lyrics was sold at auction for $19,500.

One of the first nice pieces I learned to play from Mertens' repertoire.

Dear Prudence

STEREO: http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=24TqOxqMh8A&fmt=18 This started off really simple but then I started using my sequencer to add organ and before I knew it I had over 50 instrument tracks! Sounds include a female choir, a choir of monks, strings (violins, violas, cellos), old tape strings (mellotron) sitars, dobros, celeste, glockenspiel, dulcimer, and so on and so on. It got crazy as I started adding more and more sonic layers to this track and mixdown was a challenge to say the least. If you listen to this in stereo, you will really hear the separation of the instruments. Regarding the video, I made two versions of a video for this track. One in color and one in black and white and, since I liked both versions equally as much, I decided to use them both in a split screen mode. As some of you may know, John Lennon wrote this song while in India studying trancendental meditation with the Maharishi. This song was written about Mia Farrow's sister who spent most of the trip inside her tent; unwilling to come out. The other Beatles, as well as Donovan and Mike Love from The Beach Boys (among others), went along on this spiritual journey and, in fact, many of the songs of The Beatles "White Album" where written during this trip. My arrangement of this song has a strong Indian/Middle Eastern influence and when coupled with the India footage and also when one considers the story behind the song, the video as a whole (images and sounds) is seen as a very cohesive statement. I probably won't do anything like this again for a long time simply due to the sheer amount of work and complexity involved in bringing something like this into fruition (I could've mixed this a multitude of different ways). Produced, Arranged, Performed, and Engineered by soncflyingmachine Composed by John Lennon and Paul McCartney

Profit or Prudence-Saving the Human Species PART ONE

Colin Knauf speaks out for health, harmony and natural nurturing as the only way to peace on the planet. The western world must change its industrialized medical model of birth if we are to survive. Our poor health and aggression is a result of a profit over prudence mentality. Our two highest profit centres of the globe are dependent on our medical model of birth. War and Pharmaceuticals are the two biggest money makers on the planet and they are killing us. Natural birth, mother's milk of human kindness -which is the elixir of life and vital touch are a necessary part of healthy human psychological and physiological development. A myriad of scientific research and empirical evidence proves nature is the best and cheapest health care plan. Nature provides happiness, health and harmony for free. Sadly in our culture of commerce and consumption there is no value for anything that doesn't turn a profit and there is no fiscal dividend in FREE -free birth, free meals and free baby care. When we short circuit any one of these three essentials in a baby's most important primal year, we do horrendous harm. We witness that harm on the news daily. We need our medical profession, educators and policy makers to bring the facts to the attention of government. Mother nature doesn't turn a profit and she can't afford government lobbyists? Our very survival needs you, to lobby for change. Thank you for making a difference and for securing a future.

Dear Prudence Piano

Compuesta por John Lennon en 1968, incluida en el "White Album", trata sobre la compleja personalidad de la hermana de Mia Farrow, Prudence, a la que los Beatles conocieron en la India. Letra: Dear Prudence Won't you come out to play? Dear Prudence Greet the brand new day The sun is up, the sky is blue It's beautiful and so are you Dear Prudence Won't you come out and play? Dear Prudence Open up your eyes Dear Prudence See the sunny skies The wind is low, the birds will sing That you are part of everything Dear Prudence Won't you open up your eyes? Look around round Look around round round Look around Dear Prudence Let me see you smile Dear Prudence Like a little child The clouds will be a daisy chain So let me see you smile again Dear Prudence Won't you let me see you smile? Dear Prudence Won't you come out to play? Dear Prudence Greet the brand new day The sun is up, the sky is blue It's beautiful and so are you Dear Prudence Won't you come out and play?.
