These ants came out as soon as the sun went down while we bivied atop the first pitch of the South Face of Washington Column, Yosemite, Ca. The stream of ants ran right under where our portaledge was and I had nightmares about waking up covered in biting / stinging ants. Other than that, it's a great bivy ledge.
