Driving courtesy - merging in turn

Driving across the Plimsoll Bridge, with views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, and down onto the Portway. We have right of way. As traffic is very slow moving, cars take it in turns to merge with the main stream.

EIDETIC BUSH multimedia installation

"EIDETIC BUSH" by Andrea Morucchio Plimsoll Gallery, Tasmanian School of Art, Hobart, Australia 28.03_16.04 2003 curated by Noel Frankham [performance, video sound installation, presented as main show of the 2003 Alcorso Italian Artist in Residence] [performance, installazione audio video, presentata come mostra principale del 2003 Alcorso Italian Artist in Residence] Eidetic Bush is a visual sound installation incorporating digital enhanced video projections developed from performative acts in burnt bush environments and Luigi Nono musical score Caminantes...Ayacucho. Videos has been projected in loop on two semitransparent cotton screens, h3 x w7 mt each. A.M. turned his attention to developing ideas for new creative work in response to his new environment. In particular the impact of the nation-wide bush fires over the 2002/03 summer had a great effect on him inspiring the multi-media project Eidetic Bush. This work explores the mystery and dynamism of the human creative impulse. A.M. is interessed in the potential for the creative act to facilitate a direct spiritual connection with nature and place. By peformance and video installation, Eidetic Bush seeks to express a spiritual link between contemporary artistic ideals with the motivating forces behind the creativity of early man.

Prisoner Cell Block H - Lou Kelly on the run 1/3

Admirably managing not to struggle against the restraint she is being held under by Officers Barry and Mute Extra, Lou Kelly is unimpressed at being condemned to the pound for her thwarted escape attempt. Luckily, she has taken the precaution of hiding one of razor-blades with which Wentworth is freely awash, in her plimsoll - an area clearly not covered by the 'full body search' - and when Joyce - ever the bold swashbuckler - observes her prostrate form on the floor, she rushes into an adventure that not only gives us a fascinating insight into the role of the gate guard, but also proves that not all the Officer Extras are silent. Lou, meanwhile, has a crazed look in her eye, and demonstrates that she can part her invariably-gritted teeth after all, even if only when throwing back her head in delirious, demonic laughter, whilst threatening to blow the top off Madge Bishop - foolishly sporting a rather less bullet-proof hairstyle than Kelly herself -'s head.

Unusual looking Military boat James Bond style

This is an unusual looking military boat that entered our harbour on 1st July 2008. It has no numbers, writing or markings apart from a Plimsoll line and it had some slotted vent holes on it's sides near the stern. It reminds me of something they would use in a James Bond movie. If you know what this boat is used for, which country it has come from or anything about it leave a comment, if it's not top secret of course.

Land Rover Series I engine swop

LRO's Mark Saville has been hard at it in the workshop. 'Plimsoll', his trusty Series I, needed a replacement engine. Watch the video to see the like-for-like swop of two-litre petrol engines and read Land Rover Owner International's July issue -- out on June 23 -- to find out why all the effort has ended in disappointment. Dashcam. Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol, England

Early Sunday morning. Come for a great drive! See the amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge, high up in the rocky Avon Gorge. Drive under the bridge, and drive over it. All in one take, in real time. We approach Bristol down the fast Long Ashton bypass; go along Brunel Way with a great view of the Suspension Bridge and the Avon Gorge; drive across the Plimsoll swing bridge; drive down onto the Portway and under the bridge, through the little tunnel. The traffic lights change to green as we approach and we go up twisty Bridge Valley Road, turn right into Clifton Down and right again - to the bridge. Drop 50 pence into the basket and a slow crossing (max 25mph). Look out for the joggers and the people clearing rubbish on the Downs. The soundtrack is Cadillac Boogie by Dave Taylor and Raunchy by Bill Justis.

Bridge Swing

The Plimsoll Swing Bridge being swung in Bristol to allow a little yacht out of the floating harbour and out onto the river Avon proper... Interesting eh?! Well, I was bored ;p
