zkueker88 is at it again doing mental gymnastics in order to get Scripture not to really mean what is written. He released 3 so far in this series so, I decided to respond to John 3:16. In John 3:16 he tries to get Scripture to not really mean what it says when it comes to the word "whoever". In subsequent videos he tries to get "all" not to mean "all" as in "He (Christ) died for all." How many words do Calvinists have to take/remove from Scriptures before they realize they shouldn't be doing that in the first place? Utterly ridiculous. Scripture is very clear when it comes to the things necessary for entering the New Jerusalem. It is not very clear when it comes to "elect" theology that is presented by Calvinists. These videos make that obvious to everyone else but Calvinists. It's like you need a decoder ring in order to unlock the secret meaning of the Bible. Sure, some passages are hard to understand, but to make words not really contain the definition they normally would have is a bit much. Also, can you imagine primitive Christians huddled in their catacombs trying to do the things that Zach is trying to do here? New Testament literature was intended to be broken up into pericopes to be read and understood and meditated upon within a sitting. We know this because many of the Apostles and subsequent Christians were believed to be illiterate. They were poor people working class people in a day where the printing press did not exist; AND in a day where the verse numbering system did not exist; AND in a day where you were not guaranteed to receive the entire Canon of Scripture. To have to piece together Scripture in order to concoct the meaning and way Zach has presented this to us would be something short of a miracle.
