Se abrirán las flores (Chiranan Pritpreecha, Tailandia)
Memoria del Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín. La poeta tailandesa Chiranan Pritpreecha lee en su lengua este poema, durante un acto del XVII Festival Internacional de Poesía de Medellín en el Parque de los Deseos de Medellín, el video presenta la versión en Castellano del poema "Se abrirán las flores". Pritpreecha nació en Tailandia, 1955. Fue una reconocida figura del movimiento estudiantil tailandés de los años setenta. Luego de la violenta opresión ella conjuntamente con miles de estudiantes Thai, escapó a la jungla y se unió a la insurrección comunista. En 1989 The Missing Leaf, su primer libro de poemas basado en sus experiencias personales en la jungla, ganó el prestigioso Premio de Escritores del Sudeste Asiático. En 1992 "First Rain" (Primera Lluvia) fue seleccionado como "Mejor Poema del Año" por el P.E.N International de Tailandia. Su obra ha sido traducida al inglés, francés, alemán, japonés y malayo. La traducción del poema fue realizada por Raúl Jaime Gaviria. |
