spongefly (spongillafly) larva on freshwater sponge. Note the elongate mouthparts, through which the larva extracts nutrients from the sponge body. This specimen was photographed through a microscope.

I found this larva on my wrist. Putting it down on the porch railing, I noticed how it used it's abdomen as a 7th leg.

I Dropped a large red ant into an antloin's nest. You can see the antlion trying to get the ant to fall by throwing sand in front of the ant. The ant ultimately escapes. neuroptera myrmeleontidae doodlebug nikon coolpix 5700 in macro mode.

The same antlion, about a month later. It has grown quite a bit in the meantime, and the pit diameter is 3 to 4 times as wide as in the first video of mine...

Hi, I recently did the same thing as you. My ant lion was much tinier than yours, though. It's still growing...
