"Nemo" is a 2004 song by the symphonic power metal band Nightwish. It is taken from the album Once. The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields participated on the single. Once topped the album charts in Finland, Germany, Norway, Greece, Slovenia and Hungary.Widely successful, the single was certified gold in Finland on the day of its release. In the UK it could only chart at #87 after a chart entry of #101 the week before, but spent over 20 weeks on the top 200. Nemo is Latin for "nobody". Perhaps more significantly nemo also corresponds to the famous answer given by the Greek hero Odysseus to the Cyclops Polyphemus. In the Odyssey, when Polyphemus asks for his name, Odysseus tells him "Oυδίς" a name translated as "No-man" or "Nobody" which has been used allusively by later authors, such as Jules Verne. The line in the chorus "'Nemo' my name forever more" further suggests this meaning to be the intended one. Other thematic elements from the Odyssey appears in other Nightwish songs such as "The Siren". Fun note. It is a misconception that the song "Nemo" had something to do with the movie "Finding Nemo".

This is the Captain Nemo video from the "Diva Video Collection" DVD. However the audio on the DVD wasn't the correct version of the song. I replaced the audio with the correct version, so the picture and sound stay in synch throughout the video. What happens is, during the "radio edit" version of the song, the interlude is shorter once the music picks up. On the DVD, once the little boy starts running, the music goes on for too long since it's the "album version" of the song, and the video gets away from the vocals since they start up again too late. Hope you enjoy!

Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland directed by Masami Hata and William T. Hurtz came out 1992 [edit] but apparently everybody needs to know that it was first released in Japan in 1989. it was released in the US in 1992, and then this copy, which is the DVD version, was released 2005. YEAH, EVERYBODY CARES ABOUT THIS A LOT, FAGGOT. A young boy, Nemo, and his flying squirrel, Icarus, are transported via dreams into a fantasy land named 'Slumberland' following an invitation to play with the princess Camille. After breaking a promise to the king, Nemo's curiosity evokes disastrous results that require him to search out his nightmares to save the day. I'm too lazy to compress the avi to make it a more manageable file size and whatnot so the later segments are only about 5 minutes long each. Sorry about that; uploading movies to youtube is not exactly a huge part of my life, though.

About a month ago now, a friend named Carley asked that I make her a music video. Well, I didn't have any projects to do at the time, so I thought "Hey, why not?" This is an amazing video, the timing on this one is magnificent. Its not my best, nor one of ym favourites, but for those fans of nightwish out there, you're gonna love it! ^_^
