A friend of mine owns a piece of land with a beautiful house on it close to the town of Nanyuki on the slopes of Mount Kenya. I went to visit him for the weekend to get out of Nairobi's fuss, noise and exhaust fumes. A nice three-hour drive north takes you through one of Kenya's most green and fertile regions. Let caretaker Lawrence inform you on the big population of elephants in the region, learn about magnetic forces around the equator, check a tree house fish farm and visit Africa's second largest open air market at Karatina. This film is made by Bram Vergeer from the Holland based InSideOut Foundation. It, together with many more films, can be seen on our website www.insideseries.com. Our aim is to present a different view on the daily life of people in countries all over the world, especially in countries which in our opinion are being portrayed in a limited way by the common media. The leaders under the chairmanship of the area Chief. Continued the first meeting on 11 May, 2005. Main agenda being to find out the problems affecting the community within the area. After a lengthy discussion we came out with a resolution, of having a dispensary within our area, after considering the distance to the district hospital.

We Attend Church in Nanyuki, Kenya, and the pastor tells us he has a list of names of people who do not attend church and there excuses, which he reads aloud to the congregation.

Anyone remember this? Its Rocky Hollow from 1983 narrated by Peter Sallis who later did the voice of Wallace in Wallace and Gromit. I thought I would share this with other people because it seems to be very rare and isn't available on DVD. I don't want any bad comments if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. Sorry about the bad qulity. NOTE: Please don't delete this or at least let me know first.

Eleven soldiers died on Thursday afternoon when a truck they were travelling in rolled several times near Kenol along the Thika-Nyeri road. Four soldiers died on the spot while seven others died in hospital. Military choppers airlifted scores of others who were injured to the Armed Forces Memorial Hospital in Nairobi. The Thika-based soldiers were travelling back to their barrack from a sporting event in Nanyuki.
