A Variation on the theme of Mulberry Days. Once upon a time, [1991] the BBC had a subtle sitcom called Mulberry days. Our local PBS has currently resurrected it, and I remembered the theme music as a musical worm from sixteen years ago as being simple, but very pretty as a melodic line. Thus this somewhat singular variation. It was a quirky story about a manservant, [Mulberry] who is in fact, an apprentice Grim Reaper who has come to the grand house to usher Miss Farnaby into the next world, but in a happy way. To me, the content and music qualifies as to [or being capable of] becoming English Folklore ~ perhaps ~ maybe ~ a century hence.[t.i.c.] You folks are lucky I do not sing ~ here are the lyrics for you to sing and fit into the tune :) Some say they touch the Sky Some say they see the Wind, A whisper of Spring is near, Can you hear it say These are Mulberry days ?
