Xysma was formed in Naantali,Finland in 1988. Originally by the name Repulse and they released one demo "On a Cartrip in Sweden" before changing name to Xysma. Xysma was the first Finnish Grindcore band ever. They were influenced by Carcass,Napalm Death,Sore Throat etc. Their first demo "Swarming of the Maggots" was released in 1989. Then 2 EPs "Above the Mind of Morbidity" and "Fata Morgana" both released in 1990. The first album "Yeah" was released in 1991 and was the first "Death 'n' Roll" release ever. Sorry Entombed YOU DID NOT INVENT IT! So,the second album "First & Magical" continued on the same musical path. After this they really started to soften up and I don't wanna go there. They started off as Goregrind then Death Metal then Death 'n' Roll then to 70's Heavy Metal/Rock then to pure retro rock, and finally,pop. Anyway Xysma made way for lots of Finnish bands. Although the 2,331-patient HF-ACTION trial failed to meet its primary endpoint, which was a reduction in all-cause mortality and hospitalizations, a pre-specified analysis that focused on patients with the best exercise tolerance found that such activity could significantly reduce the combined endpoint, said Christopher M. O'Connor, M.D., of Duke Medical College in Durham, N.C.
