MSX - Usas (1987) - Mohenjo Daro 5-1
The last act in the Usas playthrough. Watch the spike pits, don't be greedy, enjoy the happy emotion and you'll be fine. I noticed another quality of the sad emotion, by the way. It seems certain things move slower when you acquire that emotion. Like the hovering platforms. This gives you a bit more time to get across. But the range and power of the weapon still sucks. |

Song about Mohenjo Daro, the 5,000 year-old site near the border of India and Pakistan where the bodies were found dead in the streets and radioactive. Very unusual phenomenon. |

MSX - Usas (1987) - Mohenjo Daro 5-2
Bleh. Game Master corrupted a save file and I had to start all over again. Sometimes it is best to make backup save files. This ruins is full of nasty pitfalls - those of the 'back to the start' kind. It is also full of cash. There is a 100 bucks coin here that, depending on to me unknown circumstances (or just plain luck), reappears when you walk out of the room and back in again; I know, because I had to replay this ruins dozens of times for a successful recording in which I didn't die. If you are lucky, cash in. If you are not, collect as much as you can because you are going to need it. If you want to fight the boss with the happy emotion, remember you will have to go all the way back to the beginning here to get it. I don't recommend it, though. The boss fight of this ruins is one of the hardest in the game and yet I choose an inferior weapon with longer range: the angry emotion. Here is the problem: the spider boss keeps eating away the floors. If he eats away the bottom floor and you accidentally fall into there, it means instant death. Unfortunately, on top of it, the boss of this ruins is very strong and there is not much floor to eat away. I am not sure if this is the most efficient way of beating him, but I tend to position myself in a corner with my back against the wall, take damage as it comes and fire away. Whenever something hits you, you get propelled backwards, out of control. That's the moment you don't want to get caught in a hole. The spider moves randomly through the screen. Just hope he doesn't eat the platform you are standing on. If you were lucky with the cash, you'll do fine. If you weren't, well... good luck then. |

MSX - Usas (1987) - Mohenjo Daro 5-4
Great. A ruins you can spend hours in because it is so friggin' hard. Moving platform hell. Your timing has to be perfect, your patience has to be endless. One wrong step, one failed jump and you'll end up closer to start than finish. Again. And again. And again. You'll remember why it was you never play platformers. And probably never again will. Reaching and unlocking the boss door at the end can only be done in one certain way. Damn you, Konami!! It took me a long time to figure that out. |

Some good old blockshoving going on here. It takes a whole lot of time, though, if you don't carry the right emotion. I fastforwarded the video a little. Whatever you do in this ruins, don't get your head caught between any moving platforms. Seriously. |

Wood Carving Exhibition of Thailand's Sculpture Art in Traditional Lanna Style Made in Genuine Burmese Teak
Woodcarving exposition of Thai sculpture and artworks in conventional Lanna style created by carver artisans in authentic Burmese teakwood. SCULPTURE: The first known sculptures are from the Indus Valley civilization (3300--1700 BC), found in sites at Mohenjo-daro and Harappa in modern-day Pakistan. These are among the earliest known instances of sculpture in the world. Later, as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism developed further, India produced bronzes and stone carvings of great intricacy, such as the famous temple carvings which adorn various Hindu, Jain and Buddhist shrines. Some of these, such as the cave temples of Ellora and Ajanta, are examples of Indian rock-cut architecture, perhaps the largest and most ambitious sculptural schemes in the world. WOODCARVING is a form of working wood by means of a cutting tool held in the hand (this may be a power tool), resulting in a wooden figure or figurine (this may be abstract in nature) or in the sculptural ornamentation of a wooden object. TEAKWOOD: Genuine Burmese Teak its Latin name is "Tectona Grandis Linn". Teak or Golden Teak is the king of hardwoods and it's one of the world's most valuable timbers, recognized for its durability and stability. Teak is more durable than any other hardwood and has unparalleled rich beauty. Teak can withstand all types of weather. Ancient Burmese and Thai royalty considered teak to be a royal tree. It has been the pillar of the shipbuilding industry for centuries. The decks of the Titanic were covered in Teak, and the wood is as good today as the day she sank on 1912. Teak is also used in the Middle East oil industry as one of the very few timbers that can withstand the punishing heat of the desert and will not readily catch fire. Teak can withstand harsh chemicals, and is resistant to fungi, rot and termites. Unlike other woods, teak does not turn black when in contact with metals. THAILAND: The Kingdom of Thailand is an independent country in Southeast Asia. To its north lies Laos and Burma; to its east, Laos and Cambodia; to its south, the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia; and to its west, the Andaman Sea and Burma. Its capital and largest city is Bangkok, called "Krung Thep Mahanakorn" in Thai. At 514,000 km², Thailand is the world's 50th largest country in terms of land area. It is similar in land area to France. The culture of Thailand incorporates a great deal of influence from India, China, Cambodia and the rest of Southeast Asia. Like most Asian cultures, respect towards ancestors and elders is an essential part of Thai spiritual practices. Thais have a strong sense of hospitality and generosity, but also a strong sense of social hierarchy. Seniority is an important concept in Thai culture. Elders have by tradition ruled in family decisions or ceremonies. LANNA KINGDOM: The city of Chiang Mai was a capital of the Lanna Kingdom after its founding in 1296. In 1599 the kingdom lost its independence and became part of the Ayutthaya kingdom. 1932 the province Chiang Mai became the second level subdivision of Thailand when the administrative unit of Monthon Phayap, the remains of the Lanna kingdom, was dissolved. THAI CULTURE: The culture of Thailand incorporates a great deal of influence from India, China, Cambodia and the rest of Southeast Asia. Thailand's main theology Theravada Buddhism is central to modern Thai identity and belief. In practice, Thai Buddhism has evolved over time to include many regional beliefs originating from Hinduism, animism as well as ancestor worship. |
