A business arm of the University of Hong Kong has developed a middleware that will make RFID a simple-to-use and inexpensive business tool for Hong Kong SMEs. Funded by Innovation and Technology Commission, the middleware will be launched by February 2007. President Edward C Wong says better supply chain efficiency hinges on better collaboration and information sharing. The middleware will facilitate Hong Kong companies to adopt RFID and become more responsive to market needs.
