Getting dogs to behave at the rowdy chaos of a public dog park can be a challenge. But certified trainer Suzie Menzies has the problem mastered. No fancy dog tricks here, but if you think about it, getting a dog to DO SOMETHING might be easier than getting it to do NOTHING...and seem content doing it. There is one dog that she has more hands-on with, a small black lab. She said he's been in training only 3 weeks, but he's almost there to her 100% off-leash-with-manners standard. I'll record narration for this soon so she can explain what she's doing. Suzie has been a trainer for 26 years. Anyway, this is a first cut of the film. Reach Suzie by email shown at end of film.

Artguise Gallery is pleased to welcome the return of Toronto based painter Hayden Menzies. Hayden's new body of work is a natural continuation of the themes, palette and execution of his first showing at Artguise. The narrative in this new series encompasses imagery that is all at once bizarre, playful and titillating. Each composition transmits a surreal language swirling with pastel tonalities and inhabited by carnival-like curiosities. Though the figures existing within their canvas realms are fantastical, there is a multi layering of materials that succeed in constructing a tangible sense of place for them to exist in. Based on the success of Hayden's first solo show at Artguise we are anticipating great things from the artist in his second Artguise exhibit. Please join us opening night when the artist shall be in attendance. All are welcome.

Well today I met the leader of the Liberal Democrat party, Sir Menzies Campbell! (Pronounced "Mingis" if you are wondering) Was a great day, but I hope this video sums it all up nicely! He seemed like a very nice guy and worked very well with people on the streets, something I hadn't picked up from tv screens before.
