May 1994 We look at the aftermath of the genocide which left Rwanda deserted. A skeleton lies in the doorway of an empty home, and in a local hospital wounded children pour out their stories of machete attacks and murder. As a blank-faced woman sits silently nearby, an aid worker tells how she escaped the killing by lying amongst dead bodies for a week. Rwandan Patriotic Front members explain their plans for the future of Rwanda. Their mood is one of reconciliation.

I already saw some versions of this trailer here on YouTube, but they were shorter and showed less footage of the movie, so I posted this one. (This trailer comes from the Apple Trailers website, and is not made by me) The songs played at the beginning is called 'Song to the Siren' originally by Jeff/Tim (thanks PinkCloud37) Buckley, but most famously covered by a 1980's goth band named "This Mortal Coil", but the version in this trailer was recorded by a girl from a band called "Moneypenny"/Synchronic Music in the WB studio and isn't available for download anywhere, nor has it been released on CD. The song at the end of the trailer (01:46) is called "Signal to Noise" by Peter Gabriel, from the Gangs of New York OST, but it's a remade version for this movie... The story was based on a man called "Ed Gein" but he didn't use a chainsaw. The cannibalistic familiy depicted here never existed!!! The Nuer and Dinka tribes - at peace with each other for many years - are now at war. We go into the marshes of southern Sudan - home of the Dinka - to witness the trail of death caused by the new fighting. On the edge of the marshland a vulture picks at a human corpse. The more fortunate subsist on a barely edible paste made from water lily seeds. Includes interviews with SPLA leader Colonel John Gurang and Commander Riak Machar, leader of the breakaway rebels.

Our government failed with the Middle East during the Cold War, and we suffered with 9/11. We never should have suffered, it was our governments fault. Don't make the same mistake with China.

The Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, also known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre and the June 4th Incident, or colloquially, Six-four (Chinese: 六四) by the Chinese public, and as the Political Turmoil between Spring and Summer of 1989 by the government of the People's Republic of China, were a series of demonstrations led by students, intellectuals and labour activists in the People's Republic of China between April 15, 1989 and June 4, 1989.

The raw emotions are captured in this CBC Television news special about the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Games. What is clear is that members of the Palestinian group Black September slipped into the Olympic Village and took the athletes and coaches hostage. What remains murky is exactly how, at a military airport 21 hours later, a botched rescue mission ended with every hostage dead. The CBC reacts as a sports event becomes a huge international news story. Cameras capture gunfights and armoured personal carriers roaring through the night. Bob Moir, a CBC Sports commentator, records the impressions of Canadians who had a front seat for the unfolding nightmare. One describes watching the Israeli hostages being led away. "I just had a terrible feeling of foreboding that this was the last we'd see of them â€" and I'm afraid that was correct."

March 1996 Locked behind barbed wire and treated like a common criminal lives Wagner dos Santos in Brazil - the key witness in the Candelaria massacre. He was shot 3 times in the head and dumped in a field because he happened to be present when the military police gunned down 8 street children. The reason for the massacre? Because a boy hit one policeman with a stone when he was being arrested for stealing glue. Wagner lives under government protection. Thirty days after the Candelaria massacre, the death squad of the 9th Rio battalion opened fire in Vigario Geral, one of the poorest slums north of Rio. Amongst the stagnant water, the cardboard shacks and the rubbish, one survivor recounts the brutal murder of her entire family. Debilitated by facial paralysis, sight and hearing problems, Wagner is still determined that the police should be punished for what they have done.
