"A Glass Story" is an authentic new African movie. Groundbreaking in its refusal to stereotype Africa, it tells an African story in a new way. This adventure story set in rural Kenya explores a series of surprising events in the day of a young Maasai shepherd. The circular narrative begins when the boy finds a glass bottle and sets out to find his reward at a near by glass factory. A series of funny and unlikely adventures awaits when the main character encounters a dog within the magical world of "Kitengela Glass" - home to a creative and collaborative group of African and European glass blowers. "A Glass Story" promises to preserve and recycle. The collision of different cultures and fresh creativity preserve a distinct moment and a distinct place for this and future generations.

These adorable 4 year olds walk up to 10 km to school. They go without food and water until they return home. In the clasrooms there are no resources, no toys...only a pencil if lucky and an old scrappy book to last the year
