The Rigi, this region's local mountain, presides majestically over Lake Lucerne. Küssnacht Golf Club has settled at the foot of this proud pyramid. The ultra-modern golf course was embedded in the idyllic terrain at the foothills of the mountains by Peter Harradine in 1995. The 18 holes are very centrally situated and afford a view over the Lakes of Zug and Lucerne right through to the snow-covered Alps. A fascinating and incredibly varied and challenging course has been developed on an area which was previously farmland. Playing golf in Küssnacht am Rigi means playing in the heart of Switzerland, and at the same time in still unspoiled nature. Forests and tall ancient trees line the well-tended fairways. The moraine on the par 68 course provides variety to the game. The exceptionally hilly terrain modulates the paths to a roller coaster ride for golf balls. No sooner have you reached the top of a hill, you find yourself on your way back a steep downhill descent. The golfer who is unable to quickly adapt to this ever-changing challenge is slightly out of his depth on these 5600 meters of golfing fun. Because it is exactly the shots from these difficult slopes which ultimately decide whether or not you finish the game with a successful score card.
