The Cave of Archedemos the Nypholept was excavated in the 1910s and revealed, apart from the unique in-situ sculptures carved into the living rock, a wealth of speleomorphic votive reliefs showing scenes of dancing, pan and the nymphs. Similar votives had been unearthed about a decade earlier at the cave of Pan on mount Parnitha. These were sculpted in the late third and second centuries BC, the period when the worship of Pan was now well established outside Arcadia. Bjork helps us through a small tour of the votives at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.

Opposite the entrance to the Evangelismos Metro Station in Athens, Greece there is an open air museum, showing some ancient graves next to a piece of the exposed Peisistratian aqueduct which used to bring water from Hymettus in the 6th CBC
