Hurricane Gustav has already swept across the Caribbean killing over 80 people in Haiti, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. Now the storm has swelled to a Category 4 storm and the US National Hurricane Centre says it could become a Category 5. Hurricane Gustav is currently lashing Cuba and forecasters say it will cross the Gulf of Mexico and hit central Louisiana on Tuesday with the same force as Hurricane Katrina, exactly three years ago. Al Jazeera's Tom Ackerman reports.

New Orleans residents have been ordered to evacuate Sunday as the threat from Hurricane Gustav continues to grow. The Category 4 hurricane slammed into Cuba Saturday before entering the Gulf of Mexico. (August 30)

Hurricane Ike is now a category two storm, with winds more than 100 miles per hour. The storm is then expected to affect the Florida Keyes, where evacuation orders are already in place. Ike could strengthen once it reaches the Gulf of Mexico. (Sept. 8)
