Geo exchange furnace drilling [1 of 3]

Video of drilling for my geo-exchange (aka. geo thermal, ground source heat pump) furnace. 3 bore holes, 3 inch diameter, 100ft deep. 2 meter overburden before reaching sandstone. This video shows the drilling through the overburden (aka. top soil). 83dB

Geo exchange furnace drilling [2 of 3]

Video of drilling for my geo-exchange (aka. geo thermal, ground source heat pump) furnace. 3 bore holes, 3 inch diameter, 100ft deep. 2 meter overburden before reaching sandstone. This video shows the sandstone dust that's created from the air-lubricated drill. 102dB

geoexchange (elementary v1.2)

This is an educational video about an environmentally friendly alternative to airconditioners. The school where I teach has just installed one. Elementary kids will watch this to get the gist of how ground loop geoexchange systems work. They will then get footage of the installation of a geoexchange and interviews with two architects and a contractor. The interviews go more in depth. The kids will cut their own film from that raw footage. If you are between the ages of 9 and 14, please comment on this video. Tell me whether you understand or not and give feedback as to what I could change to make it better. If you want to be listed in the credits as a product tester, leave your name or alias as you would like it listed. Thanks.

Indiana geothermal rebate program a success!

Lt. Governor Becky Skillman recently toured WaterFurnace International's headquarters in Fort Wayne where she described Indiana's rebate program as a win-win situation for residents and the state's renewable energy industry. "Geothermal heat is a homegrown source of energy that benefits our economy in different ways," she says. "The rebate program makes it affordable for families to improve their home's energy efficiency, and also keeps businesses like WaterFurnace International in Indiana."
