Episcopalian Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal

After their hit "I Believe in a Thing Called Love", the band The Whiteness lost their guitarist Doug. Mack and Todd were forced to try a new style of rock, with Mack at vocals and Todd taking Doug's spot. Doug has been a bicycle enthusiast ever since the band's breakup. The new band Episcopalian Ant Farm is hopefully just as good as the old trio.

John McCain in Bed With the Believers

John McCain’s personal devotion to Christianity has been a rocky one. In his biography in the 2007 edition of the Congressional Directory lists his faith as Episcopalian. He attended Episcopalian highschool and was raised in the church from an early age. Suffice it to say, until recent times, there has been no reason to doubt which church he belongs to. The question of which church he subscribes to came about in his “No Surrender” tour while campaigning in S. Carolina. He said: "I was raised in an Episcopal church and attended high school at a high school called Episcopal High School. I have attended North Phoenix Baptist Church for many years, and the most important thing is that I'm a Christian.” So which is it? He later said that Sunday to Associated Press, conveniently enough, in response to questioning of where he sits with the Episcopalian church: “It plays a role in my life. By the way, I'm not Episcopalian. I'm Baptist." Obviously I wouldn’t expect anything “tough” from a politician who’s trying to scratch up votes any way he can. This is the common practice of presidential candidates: appear as likable and as “like me” as possible. But does any of this feel right? Isn’t this supposed to be a major event in one’s life like changing teams or party affiliation? This speaks to the heart of what I would like all of my Christian viewers to notice. Why is it that this fact is not engendering anger or resentment of the deepest kind in Episcopalians across the nation? They certainly had a problem when homosexual clergy used their facilities for sanctioned weddings and other rites. Where is the Archbishop of Canerbury in this issue? Why hasn’t Rowan Williams administered his “holy” office in expressing distain for the actions of one of its key members? For my the answer is simple. As Christopher Hitchens often mentions, the “See of Canterbury” or “Anglican Communion not only call themselves a flock but they look rather sheep-like.” The holy Church of England is no longer the institution is was when Henry VIII made it a church. It no longer has any effect on the actions of its membership. I submit to you that this support my ongoing thesis in at least two ways. First, the common man is bright enough to know truth when it is adequately explained to him. The Anglican Communion, especially in the US, has suffered a harrowing blow of modernity. Its members don’t listen to their prime leader when he suggests the adoption of Sh’aria into common law. They don’t care when he suggests, as John Haggee or Jerry Falwell, that Katrina came as a result of sin. I submit to you that this is so for the simple reason that these truths are apparently, conspicuously, and obviously false. What need of the common man is met with such pronouncements? Second, I submit that adherence always stands in positive correlation with truth, always. We don’t have a choice but to administer penicillin for the fight against disease. The truth of cell-wall inhibition in bacteria caused by this fungus is too simple and useful to be ignored. The common man knows this. John McCain is not suffering any sort of deficient support simply because the people know that the Bible is itself deficient in its claim to “one church, one Lord, and one baptism.” Not that they know of this scripture specifically. I don’t want anyone to understand me that way. But the notion that one church has all truth or is adequate generally is intuitively false. One doesn’t need the bible for such an assumption.

The Eastern ORTHODOX Church is the ONLY TRUE and Apostolic CHURCH. part 1 of 3 - American documentary: "The Ancient Church"

How old is the ORTHODOX faith? If you are a Lutheran, your religion was founded by Martin Luther, an ex-monk of the Catholic Church, in the year 1517. If you belong to the Church of England, your religion was founded by King Henry VIII in the year 1534 because the Pope would not grant him a divorce with the right to re-marry. If you are a Presbyterian, your religion was founded by John Knox in Scotland in the year 1560. If you are a Congregationalist, your religion was originated by Robert Brown in Holland in 1582. If you are Protestant Episcopalian, your religion was an offshoot of the Church of England, founded by Samuel Senbury in the American colonies in the 17th century. If you are a Baptist, you owe the tenets of your religion to John Smyth, who launched it in Amsterdam in 1606. If you are of the Dutch Reformed Church, you recognize Michelis Jones as founder because he originated your religion in New York in 1628. If you are a Methodist, your religion was founded by John and Charles Wesley in England in 1774. If you are a Mormon (Latter Day Saints), Joseph Smith started your religion in Palmyra, New York, in 1829. If you worship with the Salvation Army, your sect began with William Booth in London in 1865. If you are Christian Scientist, you look to 1879 as the year in which your religion was born and to Mary Baker Eddy as its founder. If you belong to one of the religious organizations known as "Church of the Nazarene, Pentecostal Gospel," "Holiness Church," or "Jehovah's Witnesses," your religion is one of the hundreds of new sects founded by men within the past hundred years. If you are Roman Catholic, your church shared the same rich apostolic and doctrinal heritage as the Orthodox Church for the first thousand years of its history, since during the first millennium they were one and the same Church. Lamentably, in 1054, the Pope of Rome broke away from the other four Apostolic Patriarchates (which include Constantinople, Alexandria, Antioch and Jerusalem), by tampering with the Original Creed of the Church, and considering himself to be infallible. Thus your church is 1,000 years old. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, _______________________________________ If you are ORTHODOX Christian, your religion was founded in the year 33 by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It has not changed since that time. Our church is now almost 2,000 years old. And it is for this reason, that Orthodoxy, the Church of the Apostles and the Fathers is considered the true "one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church." This is the greatest legacy that we can pass on to the young people of the new millennium. _________________________________ ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I worship the One, Holy, Indivisible, Consubstantial, Life-Creating and Most Holy Trinity. In the Trinity I worship three persons -- three hypostases -- that of the Father, that of the Son and that of the Holy Spirit. I do not confuse the persons of the Most Holy Trinity. I do not believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are, as it were, three masks of a single person. None of the persons is alienated from the others, but each has the fulness of the Three together. Concerning Immortality I believe that only God is eternal and immortal by nature and in essence. The angels and the souls of men are immortal only because God bestows this immortality upon them by grace. If if were not for the immortality which God bestows by His divine will, neither the angels nor the souls of men would be immortal of themselves. Men's souls have no pre-existence. The how of the soul's birth, as well as separation from the body at the moment of the latter's biological death that it might be reunited to the body when the dead are raised at the Second and glorious Coming of our Saviour is a mystery which has not been revealed to us. http://www.orthodoxphotos.com/ .

An Easter Message | Bishop Tom Shaw, Episcopal Diocese of MA

An Easter Message of Faith and Hope from Tom Shaw, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. As Episcopalians, centered in Christ, we welcome all who seek a deeper knowledge and love of God.

Our Founding Fathers on Religion - response to Prop 8 being passed

I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires. - Susan B. Anthony, a Biography, 1988 Benjamin Franklin (Founding Father, scientist, inventor, philosopher) Deist The way to see by faith is to shut the eye of reason. - Benjamin Franklin Lighthouses are more helpful than churches. -Benjamin Franklin I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life, I absenteed myself from Christian assemblies. -Benjamin Franklin George Washington was born an Episcopalian, but did not practice this and his writings and speeches lean more toward Deism. During his presidency he sometimes attended church services but this may have more to do with pleasing the people since he did not take communion and often left before the services were over. After his death the minister of the church, Rev. Abercrombie was asked about his beliefs and stated Sir, Washington was a Deist. Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other cause. I had hoped that liberal and enlightened thought would have reconciled the Christians so that their [not our?] religious fights would not endanger the peace of Society. George Washington Letter to Sir Edward Newenham, June 22, 1792 John Adams (2nd pres.) - Unitarian The divinity of Jesus is made a convenient cover for absurdity. - John Adams The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion. - John Adams, Treaty of Tripoly, article 11 But how has it happened that millions of fables, tales, legends, have been blended with both Jewish and Christian revelation that have made them the most bloody religion that ever existed. - John Adams, letters to family and other leaders 1735-1826 Thomas Jefferson (3rd pres.) - Deist Jefferson wrote his own version of the Bible, removing all references to miracles and the supernatural. He did not believe in the divinity of Jesus, the miracles, the Trinity, or the resurrection. Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burned, tortured, fined, and imprisoned, yet we have not advanced one inch toward uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half of the world fools and the other half hypocrites. - Thomas Jefferson, Notes on Virginia The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as His father, in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter. - Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823 James Madison (4th pres.) - Deist In no instance have . . . the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people. Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise. - James Madison, April 1, 1774 Abraham Lincoln (16th pres.) - None Lincoln officially had no religion. Some reference books incorrectly specify this as non-denominational but this suggests non-denominational Christian, which is not true. Lincoln specifically stated that he belongs to no religion. In his early adult years he was a Deist. My earlier views of the unsoundness of the Christian scheme of salvation and the human origin of the scriptures have become clearer and stronger with advancing years, and I see no reason for thinking I shall ever change them. - Lincoln in a letter to Judge J.S. Wakefield, after the death of Willie Lincoln He was an avowed and open infidel, and sometimes bordered on Atheism...He went further against Christian beliefs and doctrines and principles than any man I ever heard. - John T. Stuart, Lincoln's first law partner Susan B. Anthony (19th century civil rights leader, suffragist) - None The religious persecution of the ages has been done under what was claimed to be the command of God. Rufus K. Noyes, Views of Religion, quoted from James A. Haught, ed., 2000 Years of Disbelief We need a bloody revolution every twenty years, just to keep government honest. --Thomas Jefferson

AEON Flashback 1985: A Mystery Revealed - SammyDavis1000

A user by the name of SammyDavis1000 began playing a "game" with me back in August... claiming to be someone from my past. At first I was doubtful that this was a person who even knew me at all, but was convinced when offered three facts about myself: 1. My first computer was an Atari. 2. I am or was an Episcopalian. 3. I have a mad magazine collection These clues suggested that it was someone who knew me sometime during the mid 1980's. I entertained numerous theories and guesses. SammyDavis1000 finally asked for a guess. I sent 8 names by e-mail which were: Tim France, Bob Cantrell, Anthony Maffia, Jay White, Rod Swanson, Eric Lange, Rob Tate and Sean O'Gara. SammyDavis1000 informed me that I had "been paying attention." Now assuming. that he was being honest with me, I began narrowing down that list in my head. I almost immediately removed the 3 guys at the end of the list, because I had dismissed the idea that this was someone I knew as an adult who was attempting to throw me off the trail. Those 3 names aren't even mentioned in this video. So that left, five guys, 3 of which were part of a secret underground covert group of computer hackers that operated during the mid 1980's known only as AEON. Thanks to a bit of help from the FBI, I mean an anonymous source, I was able to obtain a secret tape of this group of hackers known as AEON. So, yes, you will be seeing some vintage 1985 video as I reveal the mystery "Who is SammyDavis1000?" To SammyDavis1000, I hope that my final guess was correct. I put a lot of time and work into putting together this little presentation. It was indeed quite a bit of fun, and even if I am wrong, it was well worth the time. Anyway, I guess it doesn't really matter which of these 5 guys it is, I think and hope that any one of you would get a kick out of this video... and most of them would probably be surprised that such video tapes even exist. As for the link mentioned. I changed my mind. You are quite capable of going to my channel: NorCalCorsello and looking through my older videos or searching my channel to find a video posted at the beginning of September 2008 called "Truth." Scroll down and click "view all comments." Otherwise, you can just take my word for it. I gave a reasonable account of how it went down, though I must admit I did not recently review the comments before making this video. So, I am paraphrasing at best. Oh yea, and, yes... that was a calculator watch on the wrist of 1985 me. Thanks for reading. Read all you want, I'll write more. -Chris Corsello November 2008
