Año 3048. Un señor de la guerra llamado Daigo Kagemitsu (Kiichi Nakai) promete unificar el país para poner punto final a los inacabables conflictos. Kagemitsu hace un pacto secreto en la Sala de los Demonios, donde hay encerrados 48 espíritus malignos. El trato consiste en sacrificar a su hijo a punto de nacer a los 48 demonios a cambio de adquirir un poder invencible. Así, el bebé nace sin ojos, ni boca, ni brazos ni piernas. Incluso sin órganos: le han quitado la mayor parte del cuerpo. A pesar de las súplicas de Yuri (Mieko Harada), la madre del bebé, la criatura es abandonada por orden de su marido Kagemitsu. Veinte años después... En unas tierras todavía asoladas por la guerra, una chica llamada Dororo (Kou Shibasaki) se disfraza de chico para sobrevivir como ladronzuela. Un día conoce a Hyakkimaru (Satoshi Tsumabuki), un joven vagabundo que viaja de pueblo en pueblo. En la posada de un pueblo, el chico lucha contra un monstruo y consigue matarlo con una katana que lleva injertada en el brazo izquierdo. Justo después, el cuerpo le empieza a temblar; se le cae una pierna ortopédica y le crece una nueva inmediatamente. La gente, incluso los delincuentes que presencian esta escena tan increíble, se asusta. Todos excepto Dororo. A ella le fascina la katana que brilla en el brazo izquierdo de Hyakkimaru. "¡Con esta katana podría ganar una fortuna!", piensa Dororo. Empieza a investigar sobre Hyakkimaru y encuentra a un músico ambulante que conoce el secreto de su nacimiento. Hace veinte años... Fue un chamán llamado Jukai (Yoshio Harada) quien rescató del río al bebé abandonado. El recién nacido era apenas un pedazo de carne, ya que estaba desposeído de ojos, boca, nariz, brazos, piernas y órganos. A pesar de ello, Jukai sintió una fuerza de voluntad en el niño. Parecía que era capaz de transmitir sus sentimientos. Jukai le otorga miembros provisionales del cuerpo utilizando todos los medios de la medicina y de las artes secretas que conoce. Sin embargo, no tardan en aparecer las criaturas que buscan al niño. Jukai incorpora unas katanas a sus brazos para que pueda defenderse. La que le coloca en el brazo izquierdo tiene un poder misterioso y se llama Hyakkimaru. De esta espada toma su nombre el protagonista. Jukai le cría y le educa como si fuera su padre hasta que el chico se hace mayor. Pero la vejez hace mella en el chamán. En el momento de su muerte se confiesa a Hyakkimaru: "No soy... tu padre de verdad. Cuando yo muera, quema esta casa para borrar los secretos de la medicina que te he enseñado". Hyakkimaru se queda impasible ante su casa ya carbonizada. Ha perdido a su único familiar y se ha quedado solo. Entonces oye una voz: "Si quieres recuperar las partes de tu cuerpo, mata a los 48 monstruos con tu katana izquierda... Cada vez que venzas a uno podrás recuperar un miembro de tu cuerpo". Así, Hyakkimaru empieza a viajar en búsqueda de sus miembros perdidos. Tras escuchar el secreto de Hyakkimaru contado por el músico ambulante, Dororo siente una inmediata simpatía hacia el chico ya que ella también es huérfana porque perdió a sus padres en la guerra. Dororo se acerca a Hyakkimaru por una extraña atracción y para conseguir su katana izquierda. En cambio, a Hyakkimaru al principio no le gusta tener compañía. A medida que avanzan en su viaje, Dororo también se ve implicada en la lucha contra los monstruos. Van superando los peligros y poco a poco la simpatía y la amistad brota entre ambos. Pero todavía no saben que quien mató a los padres de Dororo fue el padre verdadero de Hyakkimaru, Daigo Kagemitsu. El destino de ambos les conduce al encuentro con Kagemitsu.

n_n..!es una buena pelicula hecha en el año 2007.basada en un manga de Tezuka Osamu..(creo...O_o..!)q cuenta con peleas contra demonios kienes se robaron 48 partes del cuerpo del joven Hyakkimaru (representado por SatoShi TsumaBuki..n_n..!)q fueron en realidad ofrecidos por su padre para apoderarse del mundo ...cuando era bebe...weno si kieren saber ma de esta pelicula pes' entonces hay q comprar no sean Takaños...pongan la platita...GRrrrr...le haceguro q vale la pena y mas para las fans de Satoshi pue sale todo un chulo...con ea carita de arcangel caido del cielo...Ahhhhhhh....!Daisuki SatoshI...!

My first Mv^^ I take a photograph on a spot and filmize the strange comics of comic artist Osamu Tezuka on behalf of Japan. sibasaki-kou,tumabuki-satoshi,tutiya anna appears with the work which I invested a big sum in by the Japanese movie. 手塚治虫の怪奇漫画を総製作費20億円以上を投入し映画化した意欲作。バトルシーンのみで繋げようと思ったのですが、盛り上がりに欠けるため随所にストーリーを散りばめました。ネタバレあるので見てない人は注意！
