As I said, it is a 19th Century Village in the 21st Century modern world, and remains as Picturesque now as it did then, all those years ago. I hope that you can admire the beauty of Clovelly as we did, and that one day, if you have not done so alreay, you will be able to visit there, and experience the breathtaking views and scenery, the local history and the pain in your legs as you walk the 1/4 mile cobbled street, down to the beautiful Quay. This is a short informational video of the United Kingdom's most famous village. Not mentioned in the video, but another fact, is that it is mentioned in the doomsday book. This video was filmed in June 2008. We at CDMAGZ hope that you enjoy the video. What made it Famous ? It is rare that an entire village can be a tourist attraction, but that is the case here. It is hard to define a single compelling attraction at Clovelly, but nevertheless a visit is a treat not to be missed! This utterly charming and much-photographed fishing village is built onto cobbled streets so steep that for many years donkeys were the only form of access. Even today there is no easy motor access to the lovely whitewashed houses that rise up the lanes above the harbour. Donkeys are no longer used for visitor transport, but they can be seen and children can have their photos taken riding on a donkey's back. Much of the appeal of Clovelly lies in the beauty of the small, whitewashed cottages, festooned with flower baskets, and in the fabulous views that the steep streets give out over Clovelly Bay. Two inns in the village offer food and accommodation to visitors. Charles Kingsley wrote the books "WESTWARD HO! and THE WATERBABIES" When these books were released, and due to the VICTORIANS love of the Sea, Visitors from all over the world, would sail and land by small boat in Clovellys harbour, to experience the beauty of it.

Some friends and i are Snorkeling in Clovelly Bay Sydney Australia. While our video does not capture the beauty of this spot at all, we were able to take some good footage of a medium sized Blue Groper. These fish are very inquisitive and dont seem to mind people at all!

AKFF Members met to fish for Yellowtail Kingfish off the eastern suburbs of Sydney early monday AM.

The commissioning of the first ever official RNLI march, The Lifeboatmen in 1991, saw the start of a great partnership between the RNLI and Clovelly Recordings Ltd. This recording and distribution company came into being primarily to assist the RNLI. The march was recorded, with other works, under the title Marches of the Sea by the Royal Marines. It proved so successful that other recordings followed, raising in excess of £170,00 for the RNLI over the past 13 years.
