acqua pulita per i bambini di karnataka

Il presente progetto si sviluppa nel Bylakuppe Tibetan Settlement, nello stato indiano del Karnataka. All'interno di questo campo (il primo ad essere costituito) vivono circa 17.000 profughi tibetani di cui almeno un terzo sono bambini. Il problema più grave riguarda l'acqua, tanto per gli adulti quanto soprattutto per i bambini che si ammalano spesso di malattie gastrointestinali dovute ai batteri e alle sostanze chimiche dell'acqua inquinata. Da 8 anni fa regolarmente visita al campo profughi tibetano un gruppo di volontari italiani guidato dalla Dr.ssa Raffaella Chionna, medico ginecologo al San Raffaele di Milano. La Dr.ssa Chionna ha promosso in questi anni la realizzazione di ospedali e presidi sanitari, sempre sotto l'egida della Tibetan Cooperative Society, l'istituzione del governo tibetano in esilio che valuta, decide e realizza gli interventi a favore della popolazione
