Les Ecrehous (Channel Islands) at low tide

Les Ecrehous at low tide on a beautiful Summer's day... lots of visitors from both the Channel Islands and France. Btw, the girls put the sea cucumber back into the sea - no animals were harmed during this video!

Les Ecrehous (Channel Islands) at high tide

"The Écréhous (or Les Écréhous; in Jèrriais: Êcrého) are a group of islands and rocks situated 6 miles north-east of Jersey (8 miles from France). They form part of the Bailiwick of Jersey and are administratively part of the Parish of St. Martin. Many are submerged at high tide. Most of the islands are uninhabitable, or contain only fishermen's huts. There are no permanent residents on the islands and there is no fresh water on there." Dolphins off Jersey, Channel Islands

27°c, a flat calm sea & a great day out on the boat at the Ecrehous (just off the coast of France). Coming home, about 2 miles from St. Catherine's & one of the kids spotted two dolphins swimming towards us ... resulting in a mad scramble for the video camera & several over-excited adults & kids!

NATIONAL ANTHEM OF JERSEY

The Bailiwick of Jersey is a British Crown dependency off the coast of Normandy, France. As well as the island of Jersey itself, the Bailiwick includes the nearly uninhabited islands of the Minquiers, Écréhous, the Pierres de Lecq[3] and other rocks and reefs. Together with the Bailiwick of Guernsey it forms the grouping known as the Channel Islands. The defence of all these islands is the responsibility of the United Kingdom. However, Jersey is not part of the UK, nor the European Union, but is rather a separate possession of the Crown, comparable to the Isle of Man. Jersey belongs to the Common Travel Area.

Dolphins off Jersey 1

Some dolphins caught on my phone about a few miles off the east coast of jersey. Milesy as always gets a bit exited

Dolphins off Jersey 2

Again dolphins we came across of the coast of jersey, this time we got up a bit of speed and one followed at the front of the boat!
