bnsf (nee atsf) 941 leads a roadrailer train into saginaw, texas on 3/10/07. bnsf 941 depicts a classic supertyphon horn which was so distinct on the santa fe. note: the author also shot a photograph of this very locomotive leading a stack train in farwell, texas, back when it was atsf 941 in early 2003.

And now fresh from the achives. November of 2005. A Special Getaway to Trempealeau Wisconsin. Located north of Lacrosse on the Mississippi River. The Wisconsin side sees BNSF Trains, while the Minnesota sees Canadian Pacific operations. At around 9:30 in the morning, a southbound with Santa Fe 903, flys by with the engineer giving several toots with the orginal Leslie horn, with an Intermodal train behind.

One of my fav things is to catch a freight train going from "stopped" to "full throttle" asap This is at Summit of the Tehachapi Pass (Ca) in the early 90s. The hot 991 train has made a brief stop, then takes off East. Turn it up!
