Title:
L'inconnu de Limoise
Description:
L'inconnu de Limoise This was the tune of the month (November 2009) that was voted in on Melodeon.net. I have decided to learn it by acquiring the sheet music (score) online and then printing it out. I then studied the suggested video of a man playing this tune. There's some slight differences in the tune on the video to the written copy of the music, so I changed them to sound like the video. After having transposed it to a more readable key for me and then doing my best to study the exact bass patterns, I went about rehearsing it over and over to replicate the style. This is the end result. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of this fabulous French Mazurka. Key of D and Bm. Hohner November, 2009

![]() | l'inconnu de limoise, on a GCF melodeon L'inconnu de Limoise is a song written by Jean-François Heintzen, inspired by the discovery in a Limoise cemetery of an unmarked grave in which a bagpipe had been buried with the occupant.* This version of the tune is played in C on a GCF diatonic accordion (aka melodeon) made by Oakwood of Leeds, and accompanied by the occasional distant firework (5 Nov leftovers).
