Hanna is now a Hurricane
Eric Edmeades reports from his house in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, about Hurricane Hanna. "The storm passed right over us. Entering the eye was very strange: suddenly quiet. And then, an hour or so later the storm came back, even stronger with the winds coming from the other direction. Hanna has now moved south of us and is projected to come back for round II just in time for us to prepare for Hurricane Ike -- due on Sunday.

Hurricane Ike is now a category two storm, with winds more than 100 miles per hour. The storm is then expected to affect the Florida Keyes, where evacuation orders are already in place. Ike could strengthen once it reaches the Gulf of Mexico. (Sept. 8)
