From the area of "Germania" (around southern sweden, denmark, and northern germany) the Germanic culture spread to surrounding areas, resulting in our present day Germanic languages, English and German being among the most widely spread. The earliest evidence of Germanic languages comes from names recorded in the first century by Tacitus. All Germanic languages are thought to be descended from a hypothetical Proto-Germanic. The word "Germanic" refers to an ethnic group that spread throughout Europe in Late Antiquity (AD 300-600) and the Early Middle Ages. "Germanic" is a culture, not, as some may assume, a "race" or physical appearance. The Sámi people are among the largest indigenous ethnic groups in Europe. Their languages are the Sámi languages, which are classified as members of the Finno-Volgaic group of the Uralic language family. Roughly half of all Sámi live in Norway, but many live in Sweden. Smaller groups live in the far north of Finland and Russia. The Sámi in Russia were forced by the Soviet authorities to relocate to a collective called Lovozero/Lujávri, in the central part of the Kola Peninsula. The Sami people have inhabited the northern regions of Fenno-Scandinavia and Russia for at least 2500 years. Since the Sami are the earliest of the contemporary ethnic groups represented in the area, they are consequently considered an indigenous population of the area. Anthem of the Sámi People on ocarina
In honour of the Sámi peoples day (february 6th) I've made a short animation by request of the Sámi school in Oslo, that visually shows the meaning behind the first verse of the Anthem of the Sámi People. It is performed by me on my favourite ocarina - the STL Enigma. The anthem was written as a poem in 1906 by Isak Saba and was adopted as the Sámi's common national anthem in 1986. Arne Sørlie composed the melody and it was adopted as the official national anthem at the Sámi Conference in ...

Darkness
Darkness (also called lightlessness) is the absence of light. Scientifically it is only possible to have a reduced amount of light. The emotional response to an absence of light has inspired metaphor in literature, symbolism in art, and emphasis. Evil, in many cultures, is a broad term used to describe intentional negative moral acts or thoughts that are cruel, unjust or selfish. Evil is usually contrasted with good, which describes acts that are kind, just or unselfish. In some religions ...
Hellfire Rain On You!
The modern English word Hell is derived from Old English hel, helle (about 725 AD to refer to a nether world of the dead) reaching into the Anglo-Saxon pagan period, and ultimately from Proto-Germanic *halja, meaning "one who covers up or hides something".[3] The word has cognates in related Germanic languages such as Old Frisian helle, hille, Old Saxon hellja, Middle Dutch helle (modern Dutch hel), Old High German helle (Modern German Hölle), and Gothic halja.[3] Subsequently, the word was ...
