Loaded down with 8 fishermen, 7 cases of beer and way too many deep sea rods and reels, we made the 4 hour trip to Gunnison. The seas were 2 feet or less up to 50 miles our and then dropped to less than 1 foot. These action photos show how flat the ocean was, and our cruising speed was between 35 and 40 kts. Looking for yellowfin, we settled for plenty of large blackfin at the rig. Deep drops done on the way home at Little Sister rig, harvested a large warsaw grouper. The trip took 28 hours from dock to dock, and the group pic showed the hollowed eyed fisherman for one last pose. Great trip!
