A mini documentary profiling Awqaf SA and the International Waqf Conference Southern Africa held in Cape Town during August 2007. The theme of the conference: "Developing Waqf Institutions for Sustainable Community Development and Poverty Eradication (Shari'ah, Legal, and Regulatory Perspectives)". The conference was co hosted by the Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation, Islamic Research & Training Institute (a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group) and Awqaf SA. The conference was attended by around 250 participants and more than 25 papers were presented by local and international speakers and scholars. View interviews with the Minister of Finance, Trevor Manuel (key note speaker of the conference), Deputy Minister of Education, Enver Surty (key note speaker at the banquet) and CEO of Awqaf SA, Zeinoul Abedien Cajee.
