![]() | Spider-Man 3 Scene Recreation: "Emo" Parker Montage This is an entirely self-produced (and acted) recreation of the dark "Emo" Peter Parker montage from Spider-Man 3. It was pretty fun to make, what with all the dancing and stuff. It's got lots of cloning and other little visual effects. Music is People Get Up and Drive Your Funky Soul by James Brown. And there's some detail that doesn't show up with YouTube video quality, and that's the newspaper cover at the beginning. There's the article about Eddie being fired that I wrote, and it was this: Eric Forman...er Eddie Brock went into the Bugle, happy as a clam, with a picture of "Spider-Man with his hand in a cookie jar". He was smug, arrogant, and wearing bad perfume. Enter: Bad Peter Parker. Parker had been a freelance photographer for editor J. J. Jameson for years, and came into the Bugle with a mission. Whist flipping his sexy emo-style haircut, he slammed pictures from his won album on the desk, revealing that Brock's pictures were, in fact, fake, copied off of Parker's last work. After the event, Brock began to whine like a loser, and was fired. Then he lost his girlfriend, who dumped him for Parker, who proceeded to celebrate with a classy jazz number. Then he went to church and prayed for the death of Parker. Shortly afterward, he encountered some black goo, got a cool suit and freaky teeth, and became on of the most criticized film characters since Jar Jar Binks. |

![]() | Miguel Pavon´s VFX Showreel Hi everybody! This is my first vfx showreel, of about 6 min. It´s a compilation of several "making-of"s, including excerpts from my first shorfilm "No bebas" ("Don´t drink!"). It covers several visual effects techniques such as croma key, compositing, 3d animation, photogrammetry, HDRI, panoramas, digital grading, etc. Some of the software packages used here were: 3D Studio Max, Discreet Combustion, Apple Shake, SynthEyes, Realviz Matchmover, Photoshop, Apple Final Cut, etc. These shots took me about 3 years to complete working in my free time (this is not my professional occupation). Thanks for watching, and I hope it helps people with vfx approaches and techniques. Miguel Pavón p.d. Music by Massive Attack and Madredeus |
