 | 17 Ghosts II PLEASE READ I do not own the music used in this video, I only hold ownership over the footage itself. This is an entry for the Nine Inch Nails film festival going on. Production Notes: 'Within the concrete walls called conformity, there is life' I was walking my dog today while thinking of what to edit next and this quote came to my mind. We all live in a world of restrictions, not matter how much we try to escape it. We can label ourselves as we please but in the end there are still simple rules that must be obeyed due to our human design and our limitations in terms of our relationship to the world. Yet even in light of this we try to live, to become something and some of us even chase dreams in hopes of finding something greater. With this thought I would like to leave you. Now on to the technical! The opening and closing image is actually the bottom side of a bridge in the Rouge Valley located in Pickering Ontario (not that anyone really cares). My buddy Anth and I went down there one day during the summer to take some random shots and this was one of the few I had not had a chance to use yet in any video, I did not want to use it for a split few seconds, it seemed like a waste of a nicely composed shot and so here it is now. Ah yes, the evil yellow field of Ragweed, I was sort of aiming for a more vicious version of the field of poppies in Wizard of Oz. The dog for those who have not watched my previous video's is Sky, my German shepherd/husky cross breed who insists she be not left out of the shots. The crab has a bit of an interesting tale to it; we were watching Resident Evil Extinction with my brother in Cuba the night before and the next morning my brother hears tapping on the window beside him. He opens the curtain to see a huge grey crab trying to tap its way in (for those who have not seen the movies, the zombies sort of have a grey-ish tint to them) and he freaks out. Made the morning is all I can say. I've got more time now due to the strike at York so new material is on the way; lets see how many I can make before the concert on Friday :) -Enjoy -The video was created on Adobe Premier CS3 and the original formatting is widescreen.
