 | Official visit of President of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan On 1 March, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has arrived on an official visit to the capital of Kazakhstan. At Astana Airport adorned with state flags of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the Azeri President. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived at Astana State Eurasian University named after Lev Gumilyov on March 1. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met here with teaching staff and students of the University. Opening the meeting, rector Sarsengali Abdimanapov told of the activity of this educational establishment and mentioned the State's concern about education in the country. He read out the decision of the Academic Council to bestow the title of Honorary Doctor of the University upon President of Azerbaijan, and handed appropriate diploma and mantle over to Mr. Aliyev.
