![]() | All Nations Green Corn Festival & Pow Wow (Native American) O'siyo to all my brothers and sisters from All Nations Green Corn Festival & Pow Wow on July 25-27 2008. This video is dedicated to all of you who hosted and attended these ceremonies. Among the Cherokee people, the Green Corn Ceremony was celebrated in the month of June. The Cherokee honor Selu, the Corn Mother. In ancient times, the ceremony lasted for four days and was comprised of sacred dances which were performed by dancers within a sacred circle. The Host Drum for this present-day celebration was Bird Chopper ... with Ric Bird presiding as Master of Ceremonies. The home of Bird Chopper is Qualla Boundary, otherwise known as the Cherokee Indian Reservation in North Carolina. Bird Chopper's music is featured on the second video from the All Nations Green Corn Festival & Pow Wow. This video will be released in approximately three weeks. ![]() | Shawnee Sioux War Dance This song was on my old channel. Many enjoyed the song but complained how I had no images or such with it. I have now redone the video. Images are of multiple tribes. Including video of the Edison early films of the Ghost Dance. I realize this is a re-do of the original Native song. Enjoy. |
