Quant la doulce jouvencelle - Asteria live at Germolles

Title:
Quant la doulce jouvencelle - Asteria live at Germolles

Description:
The American medieval and renaissance ensemble Asteria (Sylvia Rhyne, soprano, and Eric Redlinger, lute and tenor) perform "Quant la doulce jouvencelle" live in the 14th century ducal palace of Prince Philip "the Bold" and Margeret of Flanders at Germolles, in Burgundy, France. Note the striking 'P' and 'M' insignias in the background (for Philip and Margeret), part of the original 14th century wall murals still preserved at the chateau de Germolles. Asteria is known for their intimate and sumptuous performance style and the emotional immediacy of their interpretations of French medieval and renaissance music. http://asteriamusica.com

Tallinn Estonia Music from the Middle Ages
Tallinn Estonia The first videos we took in Tallinn Estonia is of the tour guide telling us the history of Estonia. Estonia was conquered by the German's, Swede's, Danish, and Russians, but it is finally independent. "We are doing nicely without the Russians thank you," said the Tour guide. There were also some people with medieval Estonian Musical instruments playing for us. Estonia is a very interesting place to visit and the Estonian people are a good testimonial to the human spirit. Sorry about the time I forgot to reset it from New York time, but the date is correct. Filmed with VHS-C camera Baltic Sea Cruise: on Holland-America Cruise Line. (Ms Noordam) Vantage Tours

As I was asked by Azalais, I present in this clip the Renaissance guitar, small instrument made by the excellent maker Stephen Murphy (you can judge with the images and the sound f the instrument I played on my CD).
