Clave Slap Exercise on Congas - Rudy Quesada
Description:
I always love practicing this exercise. With the right hand your playing the clave as a closed slap and in this video its 3-2. With the left hand you play the "bass tip" sound with all of the other beats in between the clave. I try to play it as slow as possible. If you have a clave track to practice too, good. Remember start slow and gradually work your way up to faster tempos, e.g., 40, 50, 60, beats per min. Note: All demonstrations are considered for all levels of playing, unless otherwise noted for Beginners only. Don't forget to subscribe, rate, or comment.
