Title:
Beriev A-40 Albatros

Description:
In 1986 the A-40 amphibious aircraft, the largest in world, made its first flight. Its sophistication was confirmed by 148 world records. The amphibian may be used as a base around which it is possible to develop various modifications for wide employment in the island and coastal areas not provided with a sufficient number of aerodromes, as well as in the world ocean areas.

Beriev Be-12
The Beriev Be-12 Chayka (NATO reporting name: "Mail") is a Soviet twin-turboprop-powered amphibious development of the Beriev Be-6 flying boat whose primary roles were as an anti-submarine and maritime patrol bomber aircraft. Though tracing its origins to the Be-6, the Be-12 inherited little more than the concept of its gull wing and twin oval tailfins.Be-12 entered service with the Soviet Navy in the early 1960s in the maritime patrol role, and is one of the few amphibian aircraft still in military service in the world. Initially its role was ASW patrol, but when newer missiles enabled the United States Navy submarines to stay further away from the coast, the Be-12 was converted to a search and rescue role (Be-12PS). Small numbers are still in service.

Beriev Be-10 Mallow
The Beriev Be-10, or M-10 (NATO reporting name: "Mallow") was built by the Soviet Beriev Aircraft Company in 1961. It was a jet-engined flying boat patrol bomber of all-metal construction with the engines located beneath the wing roots and splayed-out tailpipes. The deeply streamlined hull was fitted with a small, single-step sea rudder under the air rudder. Spray fences on either side of the bows protected the engine from water intake. 50° swept wings had a marked dihedral angle, with balanced floats attached by short pylons on the very wingtips.
