Maureen Rodrigues (Labreche)
Maureen (“Mo”) is a world-class photographic Professor. She holds an A.E.C. diploma from the Institute of Photog-raphy, Dawson College; a B.A. in Photography, and a Masters of Fine Arts also from Concordia University. She attended the Glasgow School of Arts in Scotland.

She has extensive teaching experience, namely 15 years at Dawson (in Documentary, Photo Journalism & Portrai-ture) and at Concordia in a wide array of subjects includ-ing; Introduction to Studio Arts & Foundations in Photo-graphic Vision.

She has created national & international exhibits too nu-merous to mention.

Program

Day 1 MONTREAL – AMMAN
From Montréal on Royal Jordanian Airlines to Amman.
Jour 2 AMMAN
Meet our representative upon arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight
Jour 3 AMMAN / DESERT CASTLES / AM-MAN
Breakfast . Guided tour of the capital of Jordan of Amman. Visit the Roman Thea-tre, Folklore Museum, King Abdullah`s Mosque. Lunch. Visit the desert Castles: Qasr Al Kharaneh, Qasr Amra, and Qasr Al-Azraq. Dinner to Amman Hotel.
Jour 4 AMMAN / JERASH / UM QAIS / AMMAN
Breakfast . Visit of Jerash, the second most important touristic site after Petra. Lunch in a local restaurant in Jerash. Um Qais, north-east tip of Jordan.. Visit the historical site of Roman and Ottoman ruins. Spectacular view from the heights of Um Qais looking out over the rolling hills of the Golan heights down into the Sea of Galile . Din-ner to Amman and overnight at the hotel.
Jour 5 AMMAN/ DEAD SEA / AMMAN
Breakfast. Jordan valley via Al-Salt. Con-tinue to Bethany via Pella.The Batism site in Bethany beyong the Jordan is one of the most recent and significant religious archaeo-logical discoveries. Continue to the Dead Sea – the lowest point in the world at 400 metres below sea level. Lunch in the Rest-house on the beach of the Dead Sea. Return to Amman for dinner, overnight at hotel.
Jour 6 AMMAN/MADABA/MT. NEBO/KING’S HIGWAY/KERAK/ PETRA
Breakfast. Amman towards Madaba, City of Mosaics, every house lies a fine Byzantine mosaic. Visit the Greek Orthodox Church,
home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusa-lem and the Holy Land. Continuation towards Mt. Nebo with its spectacular view of the Holy Land. Via Wadi Mujib, et via the king’s highway visit of the Crusader castle in Kerak. Lunch in a local restaurant in Kerak. The Arabic nation which existed 2000 years ago in Petra. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Jour 7 PETRA
Breakfast at hotel, on horse-back ride from the princi-pal entrance to the Site (350 metres). Entirely carved in the rose-red cliffs. The Petra basin boasts over 800 monuments that were mostly carved from the kaleido-scopic sandstone by the Nabataeans. 2 days will allow to discover the most important monuments concen-trated in the central circus and on the surrounding hills. The Nabataeans of Petra were an ancient Semitic peo-ple nomads settling in the rose-red city of Petra, Hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 PETRA / WADI RUM / AQABA
Breakfast, departure to Wadi Rum, the valley of the Moon, a stupendous, timeless place unlike any other in the world. In Rum where you will board a Bedouin jeep to explore the splendid desert with local Bedouins to Al Khazali. Lunch in the Resthouse in Wadi Rum. Departure to Aqaba. Created by seismic activity along the Afro-Syrian Rift, the Gulf of Aqaba extends 180 km from Eilat and Aqaba and joins the Red Sea in direction if Wadi Araba. Dinner at hotel in Aqaba.
Day 9 & Day 10 AQABA
Day at leisure in Aqaba including 2 meals.
Day 11 AQABA / WADI ARABA / AMMAN
Breakfast. Leisure in Aqaba. Lunch in a local restaurant in Aqaba. Departure to Amman via Wadi Araba. Din-ner at hotel.
Day 12 AMMAN-MONTRÉAL
Transfer & flight back to Canada. Arrival in Montreal.
