Over the weekend I traveled south to Rochester, New York to celebrate Mother's Day with my family. We visited the Lilac Festival, which was full of great food, booths selling interesting items, concerts, and a lot of activities for families with small children.
The Lilac Festival runs from May 9th to 18th and if you're in the area I suggest to check it out. It costs nothing to go, and it was definitely worth the visit. Click here for more information http://www.lilacfestival.com/
At night my cousins took my brother and I out to a club. Afterwards they suggested that we get a 'Garbage Plate'. This strange dish consisted of a layer of macaroni salad topped with two burger patties and then covered in ketchup and mustard. It looked like garbage but the combination of ketchup, mustard and macaroni was strange but delicious!
