WALTER DE LACY

'Walter de Lacy' (11801240) was Lord of Meath and Ludlow.
With his father Hugh de Lacy he built Trim Castle (''Caisleán Bhaile Atha Troim'' in Irish), Trim, County Meath.
In 1211 he erected the castle on Turbet Island in the abortive Anglo-Norman attempt to gain control of West Ulster.
