WALLACIA, NEW SOUTH WALES

(Redirected from Wallacia)

'Wallacia' is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia.
It was originally known as Wallace, from the surname of the family that lived there.
The name was changed by the local community including the Carter's in 1906 to Wallacia. It was home to Bullen's Animal World, a theme park and circus, for several decades.
Wallacia has been named Wallacia for 100 years. It had a massive parade to celebrate, with floats including Local Anglican Churches, line dancing and old fashioned trucks.
