Windsurfing

Volosko is situated on the west side of the Preluka Bay, which is well known for it's good windsurfing and sailing conditions. Daily thermal wind locally known as Tramuntana blows regularly from the northern quadrant, each morning peaking just after the sunrise and ending couple of hours later.
If weather conditions are stable and under high pressure, the wind is consistent and strong enough to ensure active windsurfing (planing conditions) for couple of hours each morning, giving the Volosko and Preluk it's unique quality as one of most consistent windsurfing spots on Adriatic coast.
Launch spots are at the beach near Preluk auto camp and within the Volosko harbor itself. Each season, local windsurfing club, '''DSNM Volosko''' is organizing one or more windsurfing races, open to both professional and amateur windsurfers.
