The 'ventral posterolateral nucleus' (VPL) is a nucleus of the
thalamus.
Input and output
It projects to the
postcentral gyrus and receives information from the
spinothalamic tract and the
medial lemniscus of the
posterior column-medial lemniscus pathway.
